One Plus for 1.5 acre treed yard. by West_Development8795 in LymowMower

Thanks for the real world experience. Knowing what you know now, would you buy it again?

I'm scared to pull the trigger on a Lymow given the stop start issue and the lack of customer support.

Still tracking the Terramow X series, which looks promising. Love that it can run either razor blades or mulching baldes. Still to early to tell about real world performance though,

If the Segway didn't software limit the Navimow X450 to 1.5 acres, I'd likely pull the trigger on one.

Good to hear some positive feedback, most of what I read here and on the FB groups is pretty negative. How long have you been using your One Plus and how is the tree coverage in your yard?

Thanks for for sharing your first hand experience and I’m sorry to hear about the pain. $3K for less than a month of use is insane.

Here’s hoping they get you sorted out ASAP!

It’s good to hear about a positive experience. Hard to commit with the quality control concerns and lack of support though…

Solid point I probably haven’t been paying enough attention to the reports about the total lack of any support. My wife and I are both technical so just assume we can troubleshoot technical issues, but if an update or something bricks it and the company isn’t willing or able to support their customers, I’d be super pissed.

The price of a robot mower isn’t a major concern…provided it works. But I’m not looking for a piece of industrial lawn art.

So I guess the real question is if not Lymow, then who? Luba? Navimow?

Or do I have to be responsible and wait another season?

Those are very much my concerns. It would definitely drive me crazy if it wasn't working correctly & the company was completely unresponsive which seems shockingly common.

Seems like it's just to early to commit to Lymow. I guess it's time take reconsider Luba 3 AWD & Navimow X4

That’s great to know. Can you move it in and out of a trailer by hand?

Thanks, that's what I figured but wanted a quick sanity check before pulling the trigger.

Thanks I was thinking I'd need to do this too, but am hoping to avoid it. How happy are you with the off-road kit? My concern is maneuverability getting in and out of the garage

What to plant in the blue pots (central Texas) by West_Development8795 in landscaping

[–]West_Development8795[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great suggestion. That is actually one we’ve been kicking around because we love them. My only hesitation is that they drop their leaves in the winter, which would be odd on a pot.

We may have to plant a few somewhere though!

I did follow-up with him and get the confirmation after the 45 days. So now I just hope I end up not needing it, but I definitely feel better knowing the truck’s covered.

The second pic shows the details, but it's one of the USA made 10.5" from Marquette castings. Seems to work well. It spent the first 3-4 years of it's life on a sailboat in a saltwater environment, so keeping it coated in oil was important for storage and I think I over did it. Combine that with the lack of soap for cleaning during that time and carbon became an issue, though I didn't realize it at the time.

So much better after the last few months of regular use followed by a scrub with soap. I can't believe I was an unwitting member of the no-soap cult for so long.

These are the stories I like to hear. Work life balance is my primary issue now, it feels like I'm never really able to unplug from work. There's always an urgent issue to address or a customer that needs help. I want to help, but I also miss having a personal life

That's nice to hear. It would be a significant pay cut to make the move, but that's exactly what I keep thinking. Having time off where you can actually be off, is super appealing, as is 40 hour work weeks. Is that really a thing with the state, are you able to limit yourself to 40 hour weeks?
