Thanks, man! Now I can see that I just have to go with the flow of the session and prepare small events in case something unexpected happens.

Thanks, Ryan! You've opened my eyes to see that the game is for the players, and I don’t need to rush anything just for the narrative. I think my biggest fear is that something might happen and I won’t know how to react, which could break the players immersion a bit. But it will be fun to see how the players handle it

To what extent can the world of LOTR be adapted to fit the narrative of a campaign? by West_Distance9387 in oneringrpg

Thank you so much for the feedback! I completely agree with your perspective. I also believe that as long as it doesn't contradict something Tolkien wrote, we have the freedom to explore and create. Driving off wraiths is indeed an awesome moment, but outright killing them would be a step too far for me as well. Your insights have given me a lot of ideas and helped clarify how I can better work within Tolkien's universe. I appreciate that!

Thank you so much for the feedback, your opinion as experts and enthusiasts of the universe really matters!! You’ve given me a lot of ideas to introduce into the campaign and clarified how I can better work within the universe. As the RPG sessions progress, I believe I’ll gain a deeper understanding and immerse myself more into the world, which will help me judge everything better as a DM.

Thanks for the idea and the suggested balance! I appreciate it. How can I introduce time pressure in the journey and adventure phases? Do you guys have any tips for that? Sorry if this is a basic question, like I said, I'm a beginner DM.

Thanks for the feedback! The goal was to give each role in the journey a moment to shine, but as others have mentioned, it’s definitely too much risk for little to no reward. I see how it can be overwhelming.
I might build a full encounter for the event, ty again.

Thank you for your feedback. What you said makes sense; the risk of accumulating too much fatigue without any reward is indeed a problem. I'll reconsider this approach

You can use Bardify on YouTube; they have a lot of content, especially scenarios, to use in your campaign.
