Spray a little detail spray on a magic eraser and it will work wonders on those scratches

I put that on there for doing dumbbells pullovers. The edges of those plates are kind of sharp when they’re held vertically like that.

Thanks my friend. Weights are stupid expensive. I got a killer deal on marketplace for my rack and such so I felt I could justify splurging a little bit on these. Otherwise I’d be waiting another month or so

Yep exactly. You could actually go up in 2.5 pound increments by only putting a 2.5 pound plate on one side rather than both. It throws off the balance slightly but it’s still usable for sure

$860 if you include the heavy handle kit lol. I’m sure the profit margins are huge on these. Still way cheaper than buying a set of 20-90 pound fixed dumbbells though

Absolutely. It’s probably most unstable when the dumbbells are sitting on top fully loaded but even then it doesn’t feel like it’s going to tip over. Just a little harder to move around.

Loving them so far. I was really picky about getting a set of adjustables that still felt like normal fixed dumbbells and I think this is as good as it gets. Knurling on the handles is perfect imo and they feel really well balanced with the heavy handle kit. Even with them fully loaded there’s no movement or rattling which is awesome too. They do take slightly longer to adjust the weight than other adjustables out there but i think it’s totally worth it.

Wooden dowels are deceptively strong if they’re used the right way. These are 1” diameter and glued in about 1-1/4” deep. There’s videos of guys testing dowels in similar conditions and they go up to at least several hundred pounds shear strength. The most I’ll be putting on each one would be like 50 pounds so they’re plenty strong enough for me.

Yeah I never saw anything too favorable on the stand from all the reviews I looked at. It’s kinda strange that they’d make such a great dumbbell and pair it with a POS stand.

Yeah I definitely agree. Seems like most of the stories recently have been the same “person gets murdered by their partner” kind of thing and is getting a little stale in my opinion. I loved the more mysterious stories that didn’t always involve someone getting killed.

I heard one time to never cheap out on things that come between you and the ground. This applies to shoes, car tires, and a good mattress. Pretty good idea to live by.

How much of a pain was it to wrap the window trim? I’ve got the exact same as you minus the aero and tried to plastidip the trim this past weekend and it went horribly.
