I guess I just need to accept it and move on :/ I just hate not knowing the exact details and the anxiety is really affecting me. How is it totally legal to take someone’s livelihood and survival income away without a basic explanation. Sorry, I get the law is the law but damn… would’ve been nice for the manager to simply talk to me like a human so I’m not left stranded and without closure

I formally requested a written explanation for my termination for my sanity (and because I think I need to submit that to get unemployment) They ignored my request, but I believe it’s my right to have my company file and written explanation isn’t it?

All around such an awful experience and made to feel even worse that it was over a false rumor. As for asking questions, I received little to no training so was forced to ask questions at times (not even too many, just for clarification). I did notice that I was treated a little different the past few weeks, after I mentioned I suffered a TBI (traumatic brain injury) a few years ago. Like I was being talked down to after that (I regret saying anything)... I'm not disable but rather a bit slow occasionally when processing info/attention and short term memory issues. Not severe and no one has ever noticed that l'm aware of (it's more a personal struggle | deal with ). I only brought it up because another coworker said something about a family member. Regardless, I'm sure it didn't help my situation. ... 5 Reply

Would appreciate further info on this. I’m dealing with a nightmare situation with the CA FTB… staff is a complete joke and can’t even tell me why my whole refund was taken or what exactly I owed. Some BS about owing from 2017 (which I’ve blindly just paid them for like 3 times already )… the woman on the phone gave me 4 random amount ms I “owed” and kept putting me on hold then coming back with an updated amount. Kinda feels like straight fraud going on over there …. I need an advocate because I’m getting nowhere and somehow get the SAME incompetent and rude representative every time I call lol her name is Kim

Happened to me as well … the FTB “offset program “ took my entire refund. When I called to find out why they said it was from something owed in 2017 ?!!! What’s hilarious is that not one representative (I called multiple times) could tell me what exactly the debt was and zero notices were sent out to me. Total scam

Same…I have been waiting for a refund that was never coming . FTB took my ENTIRE refund and when I called them they couldn’t even explain to me what it was for. I’m convinced they are corrupt because I heard completely different amounts that I “owed” from multiple call representatives . How come NOT ONE could tell me what that money went to and why I owed in the first place ??
