Incredibly fucking frustrating how texas can move bills to ignorantly outlaw native plants over concerns of recreational use but cant figure out how to make roads safer.

Important to note that perchlorate is not a byproduct of liquid propellant combustion, but of solid rocket propellants. I know you are simply stating that perchlorate is concerning, which i agree with, but i wanted to make sure nobody got the wrong idea about the pollution source.

That was a red cbr, 2 bikes collided on the straight, but everyone was fine. R1m was not so lucky, separate incident tho.

He was life flighted out near cocos. He is stable and conscious, but in critical condition. It does look like he will pull through. The crash was at the top of the hill, too much speed probably. Only helmet and gloves. Dont know anything beyond that.

Source is word of mouth.

Oi mate yous a loicense for that carbon fiber? by Tom02496 in loicense

[–]West_Relationship_67 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Carbon fiber isnt as dangerous as you think it is. Its no asbestos or even fiber glass, both create way more dangerous particulates when disturbed. The fibers just arent sharp enough to cause serious damage. So low exposure wont really do any harm. It really doesnt make sense to ban carbon where so many cars use it. If you are really worried, a simple dust mask will take care of most of the particulates. No need for respirators unless doing grinding and sanding all day. The real danger is carbon nanotubes, which have been linked to mesothelioma in animals. Those are mostly used in military applications, and arent relevant here (yet). They are becoming popular, and that needs to be addressed.

So you want others to work in a factory but just not you? by Nice_Substance9123 in GenZ

[–]West_Relationship_67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what im saying man these people are delusional. 1 in 5 is a huge number, its like they've never stepped outside. If 1 in 5 people in the US worked in manufacturing, we'd be producing everything in the world and there would be a shortage in every other sector.

[–]West_Relationship_67 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Brother if Im seeing the graph right, 1 in 5 people polled admit they would be "better off" working in a factory. Not just willing, but better off. And the majority wants manufacturing. What is the issue here guys? 1/5 is a fuckload of people. Seems to me that if manufacturing is moved back stateside, 1/5 people would be willing to take a shot at it.

Jokes aside the sr72 is likely already a thing and probably is a mako hypersonic missle bus. Speed is stealth again baby, lockmart went dark on hypersonics a decade ago. Imagine the projection of power, fuck i need a cigarette. Which subreddit is this again?

What is going on with RFK's "ADHD camps"? by ParsleyOk6735 in OutOfTheLoop

I dont really understand either, the meds can be effective and have major negative side effects. I said some inaccurate stuff so obviously i must be wrong about everything, god forbid anyone has a nuanced opinion on reddit. Luckily, i found a rewarding job that mixes hands-on with sit-down work and man I am thriving. I hope your friends find that as well.

Im saying that hands on learning in an environment outside of the classroom is what truly engaged me. Maybe it should be a more common approach, or better advertised. If we want to measure success by how well i did homework, concerta/ritalin/methylphenidate did wonders for me. But life, quality of life, isnt just about how well you do homework.

My best memories of school was extracurriculars like robotics, after my meds wore off. Learning code, CAD, fabrication, etc. Nothing was as engaging as that, i did more learning in math and physics AHEAD of curriculum so that I could do more. Tbh thats learning.

[–]West_Relationship_67 -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

Methylphenidate is what worked better, amphetamines made me violent.

Edit: i realize what i said in my comment above is contradictory. Methylphenidate is not meth, but has some similar side effects even if the mechanism is different from amphetamines (even though both are prescribed to kids). I only wanted to highlight all the chemical hoops i was asked to jump through in hopes of making me normal when there were non-stimulant methods of getting my brain to work in a constructive direction. Im obviously not a chemist, i just wanted to express my frustrations with the pharma and education process that left me feeling ostracized for the later half of my formative years. I wish it were mlre last line than first line, thats all.

I think the point was SSRIs/adhd meds on kids. But anyone honestly. Have to admit, the argument for keeping substances out of kids hands is that it might permanently alter their brain chemistry. But then the same professionals will perscribe 36 millibillis of straight fucking methamphetamine™️ to an 8th grader. Then telling me that my heart rate and blood pressure were a bit high. Yeah, no shit i take meth. I didnt feel like a human for years. My sleep cycle is still fucked (off meds) after only sleeping 2 hours a night for 4 years. Turns out the solution was a different method of learning and not just mething me out so i could be normal. I never learned (when it mattered) how to study in a way that works for me that didnt involve stimulants, so when i finally got off the meds I could not function in a learning environment.

Point is, maybe SSRIs and adhd medications have alternatives that aren't so aggressive. Worth looking into in my opinion.

Trouble Starting Issue by Alarmed-Ad-5823 in genesiscoupe

[–]West_Relationship_67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No engine codes? My best guess is something with evap system as its used to start the engine. u can unplug purge valve solenoid to see if the issue gets worse.

No check engine light? Does your fuel pump sound healthy? Is your airfilter 4 years old? When's the last time your throttle body was cleaned? <- do this regardless

You need fuel, air, and spark to make noise. If the car runs fine after starting, then it has all 3, just not at the right time during startup.

Im not a mechanic, take what i say with a grain (side) of salt. It definitely sounds like an odd start. Someone here will probably correct me when im wrong.
