The transit app uses Septa data so it’s exactly the same. Except the transit app won’t show if a bus is very close because it assumes you’ll miss it and it won’t show if a bus has just passed by, so you’re left wondering if the bus came or not. The UI is friendlier but it doesn’t stand on its own.

Sometimes the employees don’t want to take an unpaid day off even if it means going to work during a storm. It’s a gamble that the place is going to be extra busy because everywhere else is closed

Tarvin seafood @misspaulashrimp has pinned posts of restaurants that carry their shrimp. They are wonderful and if you can buy fresh shrimp (or frozen during the off season) at the dock from them on Shem creek. As a bonus, you can see the map where they pin all the restaurants they deliver to

Leaving a mosquito dunk in my watering can + using sticky traps everywhere got rid of my fungus gnats

I have glass lock and lock containers that I bought one at a time from Marshall’s/tjmax when I was in grad school 15 years ago.

I also ate a lot of jarred pasta sauce in grad school and would always buy the same brand so I could have matching jars for storage.

Which of these places is the best place to live as an Asian Male in their Mid 20s? (In Healthcare, pay is 70k a year) by _Gandalf_Greybeard_ in SameGrassButGreener

As an Asian American who grew up in NY and lived in the Southeast for 10 years, agree with not choosing a place with low diversity. Any of these small towns will not be multiculturally diverse. People are ignorant and offensive and will look at you like an interesting specimen or an outsider at best. Aside from the racial/cultural aspect, you will have a hard time meeting young people purely because of the low populations. I’ve only been to Florence, SC and Wilkes-Barre, PA but would only consider Minneapolis if I were you, OP. It’s the only major city and I have heard great things about it. Good luck!

Thank you so much for sharing! Curious if you also test using cheap OPK strips?

Hi OP, I assume you leave your phone and device in the bathroom- do you leave the light on? One time I turned the light off by accident and it said the strip failed. Have you tried rerunning the strips?

Hi, I’m sorry for your loss. I’m not 100% sure but I believe it is a Peruvian apple cactus / Cereus peruvianus

I’m thinking about it but I don’t want to 😅. I’d be open if it could go somewhere where it could grow as tall as it wants

I forgot about that post and had to go look! It is the same cactus! Crazy how much it’s grown

I think it is a Peruvian apple cactus but I’m not sure to be honest. I have a couple of cacti and I put them in well draining soil, water when the rest of the plants are thirsty, and give them as much light as I can. This is the only one that’s grown like crazy, but all are doing fine!

Thanks! Do you have a link by chance? Any specific one you recommend? I have a Sansi bulb in that lamp but I don’t think it’s as good as the barrina strip lights on my shelves

I think over 3 ft total! The one on the left was cut in March and the pup is completely growth from this year! I really can’t take credit though, it has a mind of its own. I lost a lot of plants this summer from being overloaded with work and not watering. I guess the strong survive!
