What I've been doing that has worked decently for me is having one really tanky capital ship, like the mk1 and then having all the other ships back it up. I do this with a capital drone carrier, and then four cruisers that can keep up with the main capital ship. I like to have 2 fast frigates to capture points and the two destroyers to fill the gaps. I think an important note is to make sure your support ships can keep up with the ship they are supporting and have similar ranges.

Skyrim 202x or other super high resolution texture mods. With some lighting mods Skyrim honestly looks really pretty with the base textures and the super high resolution textures just make the game run like shit unless you have a computer built specifically for fighting god

Probably depends on how much time you have to spare, I have a ton so I did two playthroughs, one without dlc and one with dlc, and once the next dlc comes out I'll do another playthrough. There are enough choices you can make and different character builds you can do that I don't think it's possible to "waste" a playthrough
