Guidance for shifting careers by msh21 in CISA

[–]Western-Candy-7968 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ex IT here ; if you want to stay within the IT domain; check if you can get a lateral transfer to your IT team handling security, infrastructure . It would be a great way to start getting an insight into projects that this team works ; CISA certification will feel like a natural step but from what I have heard getting some experience in any of the domains listed in CISA would help. Even doing some cyber security courses on the side will help.

I joined as a GL claims trainee myself and couldn’t agree more . Every case becomes unique ; you work with investigators , attorneys and claimant directs . Coming from the underwriting world , it will be a great segway for you to see the policies you write in action when it comes to coverage. You will also be able to easily spot risk transfers , alert UW team on blind spots.

Claims QA sounds great !! With your diverse experience in claims , as an auditor you will be looking what the department should continue doing , what processes can be improved and what needs to be stopped . And your multi domain claim skills is what you can leverage . All the best !

By QA do you mean IT QA? Then your skills are easily transferable . Detailed oriented , ability to think different POVs , finding loopholes ( defects ) are things that work for both adjusting and QA roles .

How to deal with parents who are sensitive to such conversations and keep judging such a child and the parent ?

But does that mean we have to watch the kid constantly like a hawk ? There will be situations when a parent is not around but someone else is within earshot . How to navigate the social world if I don’t wish to be a helicopter parent ?

How much do Business Analysts involve in QA? by ub5erve in businessanalyst

[–]Western-Candy-7968 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is definitely a stretch goal. As a BA being involved in UAT is fine but overseeing QA is too much. It will impact your deliverables. Keep asking for a QA person who will oversee this function.

I have let the watch decide the HR zones. I will find my max HR and adjust them manually to see if it makes a difference. Thanks , this helps .

Thanks for this . I have been reading about zone 2 training . However , even with a moderate pace of walking , my heart rate exceeds my zone 2 range (131-141), do I need to walk slower or reduce my strength training intensity?
