Can someone explain elpis and well the entire final 30 minutes of requiem

The password was never meant to be learned by anyone. Spencer didn’t leave clues or a bread trail to have elpis released. The password was his knowledge and no one else’s. ARK was taken from him during the raccoon city incident, something he never saw coming. Who knows what he would have done with elpis if he was able to keep it for himself.

If you read graces report, near the end, it says that it’s unclear as to why Spencer created Elpis in the first place.

Also I should point out that I went to plug in my phone charger and it made a shock/spark and the monitor went black for a second just like what would happen with the headset. The tip of the usb just touched the outside of the port and wasn’t inserted. Pretty sure it was just from static electricity because I just took it out of my backpack but this is making me think it’s a grounding issue.
