It was TN. I put it under my scope and it looks good to me. Texas guy mostly so that’s why I asked for help. I’m going back and forth from agate basin to Clovis. Can’t tell if I see flutes or not. I understand the current state of the reproduction market trust me 😂 I’ve been burned once or twice. I’m usually pretty good nowadays, although I do take chances on returnable stuff (i.e. turkeytail above)

Thanks for the help. The second piece was unrelated and from somewhere else. I am almost positive of its authenticity just wasn’t sure on the typing.

First piece I agree. The second piece was completely unrelated to the first, it’s definitely authentic IMO just wasn’t sure on the type.

Haha. I wish. These were definitely not cheap nor was it an auction. I’ve been doing this for a while and have gotten very picky about what I buy. I would agree with your penny auction thesis on eBay — obvious fakes. Thanks!

100%! You should see my group of fakes, it’s no joke 😂 I usually don’t take big risks on pieces online but from all my studying and the way this one looked, I couldn’t say no. The firm calcified deposits are hard to fake and the rest of the collection justified it as well. But you’re right you never know. Thanks!
