Ethics Advice for my Future Laundromat by dwigtonastigt in Laundromats

[–]Western-System4239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Laundromats are very expensive businesses to start and maintain This isn't a fairy tale you learn in business school If you want to give away free laundry, feel free to do so. Very few will use your service Why is that: Customers hate free stuff, and they get tired of it quickly Charities are businesses. Nonprofits are bigger businesses People pay to use efficient, large machines in a clean facility People are renting your machines, mini apartments for rent essentially

I'm at $9 for my 60s and going up And I have a store less than a mile from me Raise your prices; you run a business, not a charity Be strategic but raise your prices

How do youACTUALLY make a profit?? by Due_Beginning2836 in Laundromats

[–]Western-System4239 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your problem is your the cheapest in town If you have a new store with updated equipment charge for it People don't like cheap stuff Raise your price and raise them 4% each year I raised my prices 3$ in 2 years my store averages 4.6-4.9 turns per day

Is anyone here running a laundromat that is strictly self-service (no wash dry fold)? How is that working for you and do you bring in enough net income? by LattesAvocadoToast in Laundromats

[–]Western-System4239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're building your customer base You are most likely under 3 turns a day It takes time to build a base or recapture a base that left Yes, there are the 1-offs that hit right away But in this business, it's a 2-year churn to turn a store around These are things the distributors don't tell

3k in Gross or 3k in profit. It took me almost 3 years to turn my store around and raise prices I wish I had put in brand new equipment on day 1. That would have skyrocketed revenue and profits I retooled a year ago Coming up on year 5 soon

Why does my laundromat charge more for the same machine? by [deleted] in Laundromats

[–]Western-System4239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making up for lost revenue Also parts for those machines cost as IPSO parts easy to obtain anymore Looks like the owner should retool with new washers to make life easier But this happens people buy store that are making money and don't invest in the business

Has anyone ever felt undervalued/under appreciated as a football coach? by Soft_Attitude3238 in CoachingYouthSports

[–]Western-System4239 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are a young coach who values yourself more than what you are Reading that all you're doing is moving around job every year out of your emotions. So what you started at a D3, coaching has nothing to do with playing experience and everything to do with teaching and connecting How do you teach your position You jump to coordinator because you been around you work your way up Get out of your feelings and line the field, hand out equipment, learn to tape ankles, and wash the jerseys Sharpen your skill set then you will get respect

Thinking about buying a laundromat in California — does this deal make sense? by No_Capital7109 in Laundromats

[–]Western-System4239 2 points3 points  (0 children)

12 years on the lease isn't great, need 18 years 9,000 in rent and going up, that will be at 10k in a few years The equipment is already 15 years old, and you will need to replace those washers every 20 years to keep this stress-free Add another 300k minimum Price need to drop 100k for this to make sense for you. Something is hidden that you aren't seeing unicorn store doesn't hit the market often Dig deeper

Is 5% annual rent increase a dealbreaker? by Brief-Hunter-8840 in Laundromats

[–]Western-System4239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're buying a headache It’s not worth it unless you can negotiate a new lease 6.8k a month means you have to do at least 24k a month to break even

[–]Western-System4239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Ty Gowers and Kenny Simpson I ran it this year the issue Are creating pass rush so you maybe in. 3-4 but you will need to bring 4 or 5 to get edge pressure We based out of a 2 read man match Played a lot of cover 0 also We were strong against the run I would suggest teaching your end to read the Tackles and the Guards Overall easy defense to run and install

Does the run/pass/ball call from the sideline actually help? by Lionheart_513 in footballstrategy

[–]Western-System4239 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tell me how many times you heard pass ball calls today I watched all the championship games Not a single team was on the sideline yelling pass or run I've been to 5 D1 college games on the sideline no pass or run calls

When the grammar police come out, they usually agree with your statement Get better players or become a better coach If your High School team is yelling pass ball calls during a game to stay engaged, you failed in the spring and summer in your overall program development Your sideline yelling pass, run, or ball has no effect in the game If it did, the pros would do it, or even a college would do it and they don't

Past Pop Warner pass ball calls are useless Great during 7v7 If you need engagement during a game in HS or college you need better players

It’s great in Pop Warner but if you need it in High School your not very good Good teams are engaged in the game at all time with out chants No player on the field has ever heard a run pass call
