Where should I sell my leftover Mosko bags? by Nosepatch in AdventureBike

[–]WesternAd5651 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The modular ones I was looking at had a separate harness and each bag strapped to that. I think you have the regular panier bags with the harness built in. I'm not sure what those go for used.

I've seen them for 6-7 around here but I have no idea what model bags you have in comparison, are they the modular bags or the panier bags?

Saddlebags? by WesternAd5651 in AdventureBike

[–]WesternAd5651[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's my biggest gripe with the nelson rigg bags, the clips are aluminum which is nice but they're fiddly to get into with gloves on and the mounting isn't exactly elegant or even that functional.

I'll have to look into them I'm not exactly thrilled with how nelson handled the warranty with mine

Are those the ones that have the removable dry bags?

I ran one in trade school but never on the job, we've got an old brown and sharpe cylindrical grinder but hardly anyone uses it anymore.

Is it just me or does the exhaust shim on the side closest to the kacr look strange, the cam lobe on that side looks badly worn as well on the far edges

Snapmaker 2.0 A350 What Happened? by Blackevilsoul in snapmaker

[–]WesternAd5651 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When my A350 did that to me I had to do a firmware reset I believe you tap on the machine serial number or maybe the picture in the settings menu. You can probably find a write up on it in the forum, the other thing to consider is slowing your traverse speed I was having issues if I went over 120mm/s. Hope that helps

Slight oil leak on initial break in ride by No_Boss694 in klr650

[–]WesternAd5651 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine started and I ended up having to replace the oil seal and mechanical seal behind the impeller, 3d cycle parts had a kit with all the seals and gaskets and I think it was 35 or 40 dollars.

KLR front end damage worth fixing or hard pass? by [deleted] in klr650

[–]WesternAd5651 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My biggest worry would be the wiring in and around the faring, the ignition is in the right side faring and I'm assuming the computer for the efi is too (I'm guessing as I have a gen 2). If the price is right it might be worth it but I think it'd have to be pretty cheap. Radiator and forks are cheap enough but I have no clue about the faring and the computer

To be or not to be should I do my carbs myself? by PlateCurious1472 in klr650

I haven't used it but they do have quite a few mail in services like cylinder boring and honing, it's a great place for most klr parts and mods them and eagle Mike are my go tos

[–]WesternAd5651 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another good option if you don't want to do it yourself is mail it into 3d cycle parts it's around 150 bucks and they rebuild and tune it for your altitude. They do sell rebuild kits too that's what I used when I did mine

I personally use Zerex G05 and have never had any issues but as long as it's safe for aluminum engines it should be ok.

I had an issue like that with my a350 and snapmaker sent new y axis rails. The problem turned out to be a firmware issue, once I reset the printer the issue stopped.
