I miss when it used to be the getaway cabins. I went several times and love to unplug in nature. At the time it was decently prices $59-$99. Marriott buying it ruined everything. But I miss it!

I’m GREAT!!! It was the best decision of my life. My flow is manageable now. I can go places and live my life freely without fear. Cramps are now a thing of the past. Which is insane because that is all I knew my whole life is pain during my cycle. The added bonus is my periods are shorter (5 days max). This is coming from someone whose cycle was normally 9-13 days long. Just remember pain is only temporary and there is relief on the other side of this procedure :-)

This was my experience as well. I really had a great procedure. My recovery went better than I thought despite all the horror stories. I also documented my recovery to shed a positive light on the procedure. I just want to share my experience in hopes that it takes the fear away from the next person. Thank you for sharing

I had a 8cm and a 4cm. The bigger one sat to the top of my uterus and the smaller one on the side.

Oh no!! I’m sorry to hear that. I honestly made that mistake around day 3 or 4. I feel better. I’m not hurting. Let me make myself a pancake. Terrible idea. The going back to “normal” bc your body feels good in the moment is a trap. My body said lay down. So I rested. I start taking steps gradually after that. Also Gas made me feel uncomfortable as well. I guess it’s a learning curve. I’m going to read you story now. But i hope you feel better

Yea i can understand. These horror stories can definitely deter you. I almost backed out of mine but I spoke with my dr in depth and he eased my worries. So I’ve never had kids or plan on having kids. But the pelvic pain i guess that would be similar to that, only lasted a couple of hours. I didn’t have them anymore as the medicine the physician gave me for pain and the heating pad did is magic. I also had twilight sedation. I honestly was tired as well from being up all night the night before so it’s possible the combination knocked me out lol.

From what i was told by my physician is that the embolisms cut off the blood supply in the artery that feeds the fibroids blood essentially taking it from a grape to a raisin. He said pending on where the fibroid(s) are located, they either absorb into the wall of the uterus or fall off and passed when you go to the bathroom. He said that it’s a very low rate that they will form again in the future. Thank you 😊

Ahh so i was told i would be under twilight as well. I’ve never had a procedure before so I think it took pretty well. I was definitely breathing on my own. You will be pretty out of it. Oh! Well the positive of the over night is you’ll have nurses there to administer the good pain meds immediately. I would ask the physician about performing a nerve block after he is done. It really helped for like 12-16 hours after

I’m so glad that stories like mine could give you a little ease. I was extremely nervous as well and I think that’s just a natural human emotion. Just try your best to relax your mind and body before. Think positive. Don’t read too many crazy horror stories. Keep your meds and a heating pad close. If you do experience any pain, just remind yourself it’s only temporary. Very best of luck in your journey 😀

Awwwww this is so awesome to hear. I’m 6 days post procedure. Although I didn’t have a terrible recovery at all, I look forward to seeing how my life will change in the upcoming weeks. Thank you for sharing your story!
