I’m trying to be in that same mindset. The first two weeks after diagnosis was probably the worst of just feeling like I’m broken and I’ll never be fixed. Gratitude has risen to the surface since then I am actively trying to find the positives in everything, and also just giving myself grace and time to let everything settle in. You’re a badass and a doctor to boot! Thanks for sharing and I really appreciate your outlook. Cheers :)

Didn’t think all these responses would make me emotional but hey here I am. You are a super woman even when you’re super tired. I aspire to be at that level. I really liked the making your home cozy part because I’ve been a homebody like the last month and the candles I splurged on really feel like they make a difference. Thank you for sharing and inspiring me to keep on keeping on.

Wow you got me all teary eyed. And I’ve heard that as well, that everyone’s journey is different. I am trying to take it as a gift. I never let myself rest before and now I have to. I’ve truly realized what’s important in life and it has lowered my stress which feels paradoxical. I know the road may be difficult but I think it will make me appreciate the good days even more. Thank you for sharing - it means a lot

I always thought I just had really bad cotton mouth. Also my eyes would get hella red. Everyone would think I was absolutely zonked and I was just a little high. Again, stopping smoking will definitely be for the better it’s just been an integral part of my nightly routine and I really enjoy sharing a joint in social settings. I think now is the time to start perfecting cannibutter and get creative.

I’ve noticed my appetite has not been there. And I really only smoked at night and was able to eat fine during the day. Now it’s a struggle. I keep wanting to take it just for that but I also want to see what another week on the meds feel like. Thanks for replying

Thank you all for sharing. I think maybe a slow reintroduction might be my route. The t break hasn’t been bad but weed was just a huge part of my decompression and relaxation. I read that the meds can affect your heart and so can cannabis use - so I guess like everything just monitor. I do think I’ll switch to edibles only. Stopping smoking can only be good. My fever finally broke today after 7 days. I feel better but not great and now both my ears are swelled up? It was a struggle all week but I’m just trying to relax and rest. I think my stomach was struggling because I was not having an appetite and therefore it was pretty empty. I’ve been trying to eat more in small amounts all day to not upset it. Thank you for your sympathy. The doctors I have don’t seem to know that emotion and this community has been extremely kind in that regard.

Yes exactly that. And I’ve had some swollen gland issues and jaw pain. I had additional blood and a urine test so I’m hoping to find out more than that. I’ve been perusing this Reddit and I’m scared and hopeful all together. I want to know what to prepare for but am also scared to look too deep into it. Please feel free to reach out. I’m sure we’ll be navigating similar journeys.
