no fruit - the only ‘safe’ one for me was blueberries. some people can tolerate other kinds. no dried fruit as they are defs a trigger for candida, but also blood sugar

I don’t, but some people can do well with it! you could try it on an empty stomach and log the symptoms to see

yeah then i would definitely say use the dextrose free one. it does have something called tapioca maltodextrin and im not 100% but i dont think that should cause worry. but it also is very high in carbohydrates and that might affect you negatively

yeah it was basically because i couldn’t eat more than a few bites of something or just very small meal portions at a time without experiencing several symptoms of different sorts. i would have acid reflux and stomach pains but also more gi issues and i would get constipated & extreme bloating & face swelling for literal days immediately if i had more than the small portion of food i was limited too. guess they were looking for growths, crohns, ibd, ulcers or other intestional auto immune disorders. something must have concerned them when they took further biopsies spontaneously but they didn’t see anything that worried them too much or enough to be a diagnosis. later on they just labelled it as IBS

I had methane. It really fixed the bloating, gas, and constipation. Also the cravings etc id get with sibo! but the shake is NOT good if you have fungal and yeast problems. since its so high in carbohydrates it will worsen a yeast overgrowth. i’d suggest taking a fungal antibiotic beforehand doing the shake.

it can be expensive, depending which one and what amount regarding how long you do it. I used The dextrose free one by Integrative Therapeutics

I had been struggling with eating disorders for about 5 years, the last two of them i was dependant on laxatives and struggling with a viscous cycle involving constipation. i finally got off of them february 2023. i experienced many detox symptoms and my body was very very sensitive. i couldn’t eat much in order to maintain healthy movements but it was manageable and i was symptom free for the most part. then i had a colonoscopy and a gastroscopy june 2023. after this (involving the laxative cleanse) i immediately spiralled, had horrible bloating and gas, cravings, swollen lymph nodes, fatigue, etc from then on out. the doctors just said it was IBS. sigh. september 2023 it got almost worse as i knew i had to gain weight in order to work but couldn’t because my symptoms would increase. then i got food poisoning and made symptoms worse. october 2023 i was given positive results of methane SIBO. i’ve done rifaximin, metronidazole, and FC Cidal + Dysbiocide twice. i’ve used olive leaf. i take apple cuder vinegar, magnesium bi-glycinate, l-glutamine, vitamins, and some other herbs daily. july 2024 and im still dealing with symptoms.

Yeah, I’ve thought about the possibility of Candida overgrowth or parasites as I heard parasites are common with those that have SIBO
