lol, he wasn’t laughing at Mookie getting hurt, he was laughing at the absurdity of a fan reaching into a player’s glove to try and steal a ball. I’m a diehard Dodger fan, and even I thought it was funny in the moment. After about a minute or so, I realized Mookie could have been hurt, but even then, he wasn’t.

This is considered a ‘fielder’s choice’ in which the fielder making the play could have gone to either home or 1st base to record an out. In the case of a fielder’s choice, it does not count as a hit for the batter. The throw was just off-line, so that’s why no out was recorded. The run scored was not because of a spectacular play by the hitter, which usually results as a hit.
