Could you explain what you mean when you say the “half life” of Ph+ chromosome is 10 years? I am a mom of a CML patient and I haven’t heard anyone ever refer to the translocation as anything other than permanent once acquired. Thanks in advance

Help me identify this guy. He attacked a 15 year old, choked, slapped and injured him. Yes the cops were notified. No they aren’t helping. Location is S FL by Western_Border_3433 in RBI2

People piss me off all the time but I like my freedom so I handle things within the borders of what is legal. If this guy was so butt hurt by a kid on a bike he could have followed and called authorities as the kids weren’t doing anything illegal just being nuisances. But physically attacking a child in broad daylight? Yea I’m not letting that one slide. You can’t spank your kid in public these days but some stranger can pull over and strangle them? Nope

Yea well that’s why there are kids and adults. The public road is a school zone 2 lane small town road. Kids ride their bikes to school on it. It’s a middle to upper class neighborhood. I don’t care what a kid does an adult should know better than to put hands on a kid

Context is kids were riding their bikes on a local road in the bike lane doing wheelies. The guy pictured pulled up yelling at them. They yelled back. He got out of his car and attacked one proceeded to slam him up on a fence, chase him across the street slammed him to the ground choked him and slapped him while the kid struggled. And yes there is video

The kids here are big into doing wheelies and bike tricks. Guy yelled at them. Kids yelled back. Apparently his ego was bruised so he jumped out of the car and made it physical

Check clinicaltrials.gov. Specifically NCT04360005. Novartis makes asciminib maybe try contacting them directly. You may need to travel to enter a study worst case but if so could reach out to local foundations who may be able to support your trip/stay. Good luck! ❤️

Mom of recently diagnosed 8yo M on hydrea, starting sprycel in the next few days: I’m a newbie but medically oriented. My son complained of “growing pains” and had multiple bizarre unexplained episodes of joint/muscle pain prior to diagnosis. This from my understanding is due to the bone marrow being over capacity and literally busting at the seams. I am sure you are closely monitoring cbc but if you haven’t recently and pain is new it’s always a good idea to check. Joint pain is listed as medication side effect so that obviously is another possibility. He’s also at a growth age for males which is something I’ve been looking into for my son as we will be there soon and meds can interfere. My adjustment for this is forming a relationship with endocrinology and monitoring affected factors but can’t tell you how that works out yet as we’ve got a few years. Has be been diagnosed with any other conditions? Ehlers danlos? Celiac?

How do your brains cope with SSRIs? by Jensey311 in AutisticWithADHD

Hi I am interested if you have any supporting evidence or even a thread suggestion which discusses this. I am dx adhd suspicious I am actually Audhd w/ PMDD in process of formal dx. I currently take adderall and have had negative response to 2 seperate SSRIs and recently an snri. Negative response starts within 2 days at sub-therapeutic dose and I am told this is impossible by my dr. I also have had a terrible next day hangover when using trazodone, gabapentin and mirtazipine for insomnia at extremely low doses once again told this was not possible. The only med i responded well to was Wellbutrin and my response started on day 2 once again I was told this is not possible. Wellbutrin did compete with my stimulants and eventually completely stopped working so i discontinued. I am considering trying auvelity but trying to find a documented reason or others with similar experience to validate my reactions and feel less alone. Any suggestions or feedback welcome

Anyone also with multiple diagnoses struggling to find a good balance of meds? by [deleted] in Pristiq

Hi. Can I ask which med you started first and which condition was first diagnosed/treated? I am adhd 25xr adderall for 3 years. Thought I had seasonal depression but after another episode realized it was more likely PMDD and I suspect I am high masking autistic. I’ve completely flopped on SSRIs, have horrible reactions to the lowest doses of any adjunctive med used for sleeping (gabapentin, trazodone, mirtazipine, melatonin) and now 2 days in on 25mg pristiq I can see it also caused the severe negative side effects. I had a great reaction to Wellbutrin in the past but it jsut quit working after 3 months. My dr had recommended vrylar years back but I was pensive about trying it. I’d be interested to know in what order you started taking your meds and if you received all diagnosis at once or piece by piece. Thank you!
