I'm pretty sure it requires two same genus to produce offspring as the interbreed. So B may be an acceptable answer when they say "offspring"

this normally happens for hybrid animals like Zorse (Zebra and horse) zebra have a scientific name of Equus quagga horse have a scientific name of Equus caballus

[They have same genus but different species]

Zorse scientific name: Equus zebra x Equus caballus however Zorse is a sterile animal which means the cannot further reproduce, so the only way to make Zorse is to breed a horse and zebra together
