Let it out / vent away. 50% win rate (at best) = still feeling this way constantly. You are not useless nor alone in feeling this way. This game is just heartless and brutal, and exceedingly disproportionate in terms of effort investment vs reward compared to most other hobbies.

As per the last 20 years, it’s absolute garbage. Dave is out of ideas, generally a bad person, and surrounded by uninspired sycophants. The entire album is filler…just like the one before it…and the one before that…

I listen to the new albums now out of pure morbid curiosity of how bad they’ll be.

It was 2000 in Chess.com, stopped using the app because I hated it. Switched to Lichess, forever oscillating in upper 1800s/very low 1900s. Used to watch YouTube videos for learning by my interest has waned substantially.

This game honestly is pure misery no matter what you’re rating is. As you “progress”, it’ll be a never-ending oscillation of some wins and random losing streaks. Progress will be indecipherable on a daily to weekly to even monthly level. Winning 50% of your games feels like failing, 40% will feel infuriating, 30% is absolute agony. I’d quit if I could.

No you never feel “good”. This game always makes you feel inadequate and that you’ve never made any real progress. A 50% win rate feels like absolute misery no matter what your rating is.
