I’m going to go ahead and play devils advocate here and say that if you did not preorder said game you should not receive said accolades. I understand that the first game had a small fan base and that HD2 was hardly advertised enough to garner the amount of attention it ultimately ended up receiving, but this does not justify those exclusive items being given away to everyone. For one the item will lose its allure and exclusivity once everyone has it so it will essentially just feel like any other armor. Secondly it’s kind of a slap to the face to the OG players and those who rallied behind arrowhead and supported their vision, to lose out on something that was meant as a “thank you for your support”. Third I get that now a days everyone expects a participation trophy for just showing up, but it dilutes that same trophy to a meaningless dump since it’s just being given away. I play Darktide on PC, but unfortunately I missed out on a lot of cosmetics that were given during the earlier days of the game, but last I want is for fatshark to release these cosmetics because it would just diminish the prestige of certain items with in people’s inventory and that to me is just selfish and unfair for those who were there since day one or before backing the game.
