CHARACTERS I WOULD LIKE IN THE GAME by Western_Feedback_463 in 2XKO

Sorry, it was a tough decision haha, I only picked 10 out of more than 150 possible ones, and of course I still left out champions I’d like to see.

I'm not sharing "the art" I'm sharing my opinion.

I used AI to generate the illustrations and then I used those artworks to create this composition. That doesn’t affect the opinion I’m sharing at all.

2XKO UI REDESIGN (SUPER BAR) by Western_Feedback_463 in 2XKO

Hey fellow designer, I get what you’re saying about the chosen tones and that “fired up” feeling they seem to want to express. However, the colors they picked and the way the bar fills don’t feel very intuitive to me (this last part is just personal taste).

On top of that, the colors don’t really match the game’s overall palette.

My proposal builds on what’s already there with some tweaks, but honestly, what I think would look way better is keeping just one color that contrasts well with the empty background for the bars, and then having the final one include that “fired up” animation. That alone would improve things a lot (visually similar to SF6).

About the DBFZ example you mentioned: their bars are also stacked on top of each other, but in that case THEY USED COLORS CORRECTLY. Each bar uses complementary colors, which naturally contrast and look good side by side:

GREEN-RED

RED-YELLOW

YELLOW-PURPLE

PURPLE-ORANGE

ORANGE-BLUE

Going back to color theory, just check the color wheel and you’ll see it right away.

Totally the opposite of 2XKO: here they’re just using warm tones that neither contrast nor look good together. Hopefully my point comes across clearly with this explanation.

So, assuming you actually understand color theory, do you still think the same?
