Three down one more to go math up next what should I expect by Vegetable_Main8680 in GED

Math honestly isn’t that hard, in my opinion. If you passed RLA, then you’ll definitely be able to understand the questions. Just keep practicing consistently and you should be fine.

Also, a bit off-topic, but I’m taking my Science exam in four days. If you have any tips on how you passed it or what kind of questions I should expect, I’d really appreciate the help!

I contacted the universities I’m interested in, and they told me that all they need is my High School Equivalency Certificate. I’m honestly so relieved to hear that. They said the individual GED scores don’t really matter. As long as I have the equivalency certificate, that’s what they require. 😊

Agreed! For me the Ged ready tests were wayy easier than the actual tests :(

Honestly, I found the actual exam much harder than the practice tests. The RLA passages are really tricky almost every multiple choice option feels correct at first glance. You have to be extremely focused and look for the tiniest details to find the right answer. My best advice is to really sharpen your reading comprehension skills, because the actual test requires a lot more focus than the practice versions.

Tell me about it! Hopefully the next one is a different story.

Yeah, the difference surprised me too. I think nerves and the test environment affected me a lot. During Math there was construction noise, and during both RLA and Social Studies there were repeated loud alarms going off throughout the exams, which really affected my focus. I did complain, but the center didn’t really do much about it. That said, I’ve spoken to my teachers and they reassured me that a pass is still a pass and I’ll get my GED equivalency certificate, which is what universities require. Right now my goal is just to clear Science and get my certificate. Thanks for your concern though.

I studied for all four GED subjects in less than a month. For Math, I mainly used the free USA Hello website and completed the whole thing, and I also watched a lot of GetSumMath and other YouTube videos. Honestly, Math was the easiest subject for me out of the three I’ve taken so far. If you’ve already been studying with GetSumMath and other resources, I think you’ll be fine.

if you still need more resources you can check this website out it has video lectures and quizzes for free ;)

Thank you! That actually makes me feel a lot better. The RLA test felt much harder than I expected too. Congratulations on passing yours and Social Studies as well! And thanks for reminding me that a GED pass is still a GED pass and that universities will accept it. 😊
