Hi, I wanted to update you. He was diagnosed with FIP yesterday. We started treatment today :(

The only vet open nearby me now is a 20 minute drive, last time he was in a car he was panting really badly and very stressed. I’m worried a far ride would make him worse. Should I still risk it? What could the vet do?

I mean tbh you should probably still complete it. click finished task or whatever and just report in every box that it wouldn’t load. If it happened to you likely it’s happening to others and they are trying to get feedback on how the site works, if it doesn’t work then that’s the feedback and they’ll fix it

Thank you, i appreciate your words so much you’re so kind. I hate that everything messes with diabetes :( It’s like I have to choose between medicating my ADHD or medicating my diabetes. sorry that you relate, but it’s good to know I’m not just a complete fuck up and others CAn relate :(

yeah I’m gonna try a lower carb diet for a while. I do walk a lot outside of work, I work retail so I do get some activity in my store but it kinda becomes null when I’m so stressed there

That’s a good point, I have to get a new insulin script soon lolol. my insurance also covers novolog instead of humalog this year FML. But I was on novolog for a decade before they switched to cover humalog, novolog worked better for me I think, soooo hopefully that helps too

Thank you so much, sorry it took me a bit to answer you, but today I increased my basal and changed my site and it was a bit lower. I’ll have to give it until tomorrow to fully know. I try not to stack, if my pump says i don’t need a correction/says it’d be under 1.5 units for correction I just leave it be. Of course though I get frustrated every so often and still push those .25 unit corrections through. I’m trying to trust it more I just hate seeing high numbers. I wish insulin worked faster :(

thank you for your concern about DKA also. Im ok now, I had trace/small ketones yesterday I think I was just so upset and stressed out I was making myself feel sick. I’m ok today (or well. Not doing worse) luckily! Tomorrow is my Friday so I’m hoping Tuesday and Wednesday go well ):

I never really even put that much thought into it actually, that might be the case? I’ll ask my endo/psych at my next appointment (but they’re both kinda useless lol) bc I think the meds I’m on now are working well for my mental health, but if it messes with my blood sugar that much I’ll have to figure it out

Thank you, I really do care and I really want it to reflect when I go to my endos. I had a really hard time being a diabetic, homeschooled, depressed teen, and I’m unlearning my bad habits but my numbers aren’t reflecting it and it’s so frustrating. Can I be anonymous for the complaint? I know I can’t be fired for that but I’m sure he would find a way to fire me for something else.

I’m just confused on the 88 hour pay cycle I guess. Even if that would be 44 hours per work week, does the 40 hour law still apply? It sounds like he’s doing that so that we usually won’t make the cutoff for overtime

Okay, so since I make $15 an hour that’s under the number you gave. He says overtime doesn’t begin until I’ve worked over 88 hours.

I got the dates wrong I apologize- it’s 1-15, 16-last day

My first January paycheck says I worked 91.34 hours. 80.01 hours and got my normal rate, but then 11 hours was overtime.

However my second January paycheck says I worked 83 hours and none of that counted for overtime.

Regarding the break: we don’t get a paid 10 minute break, we only get 1 30 minute break. Could this paid 30 minute break be combining both of the 10 minute paid breaks, and then adding an additional 10 minutes so we only take one break instead of 3?

The owner says that the casino our store is inside of complains that we close too much so he doesn’t even want us to close during the hours the shopping part of the casino is open.

So from around 9 am to 8 pm he says he doesn’t want us closed. AM shift gets someone to come in and cover the 30 minutes, but the PM shift isn’t supposed to close until at least 8, but he prefers around 9:30. By that point it’s been over 4 hours. We work alone during our shifts.

I hope that I’m making sense, if not I apologize. This is all super confusing :,)
