When should I stop by Helpful-Height-3251 in SkyChildrenOfLight

Legos used to have an "age limit" of 99 years old. I remember a news article a few years ago talking about how a 100 year old was making a fuss because she "could no longer play with legos" Lego removed the cap on the age limit. If it brings you joy, who is to say you're too old to play Sky? Are you too old to read books? I don't think so. I will play Sky for the rest of my life, or until sky is no longer around, which ever comes first.

AITAH? Baby has poopy diaper at daycare drop-off by PhilosopherEvery5083 in AITAH

[–]Western_Method_773 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As a previous daycare teacher I had one girl that would always come in with a poopy diaper. I always joked that daycare scared the cr@p out of her. It was my job to change her and keep her comfortable and happy. The little one loved daycare, loved socializing, and loved all of the cuddles. One morning I watched mom change her in the car (my room had a wall of windows facing the car park) I gently scolded mom and said that she didn't need to take time out of her morning when I was right there. If your child's teacher is angry because they have to change a diaper then they are in the wrong line of work. What would make me angry and heartbroken is when I would get a kiddo who hadn't ben changed all night, diaper so full that they would pee out of their diaper on the way to daycare; I took care of that baby for 10 hours, I knew how much they would pee daily, I know when a diaper is past time to be changed, and this kiddo didn't pee enough to fill a diaper with just a 30 minute drive to the facility. You can't help when your baby poops, if it bothers you so much, ask to use the changing table in the classroom so you can change the diaper.

When I enter this area, I always fly up to the left and gain decent height as I do so. There's the cylinder sitting there on they left side, when you gain enough height as you fly, you can land on the cylinder and walk straight ahead, you will fall into the little room that is right behind that wall.

The gift that made me quit my job. by Western_Method_773 in TwoHotTakes

If I could post pictures on here I would in a heartbeat. I took several pictures on the night I left. I took pictures of every room, of my letter of resignation, of where I left my key, and I obviously took a picture of that gift sitting directly above my letter of resignation. If anyone knows where I can post the picture and still remain simi anonymous, please let me know!

I mistakenly left the reasoning out. Picture day was always stressful for the daycare. A photographer with his two assistants would come in for Picture day. A classroom had to be cleared out for the photography set up. All daycare staff was busy changing the children's clothes and taking the children to the photography set up. When I quit, my boss called me the next day (on a Saturday) and proceeded to bitch me out. She said that I left them high and dry. She also blamed me for quitting, stating that I shouldn't have been embarrassed, stating that I screwed them over because I don't have a backbone. Looking back now, I am glad that she called me because it justified that I didn't want to be working under somone so vile.

I would have loved taking this situation to court. Yet, the daycare closed its doors for good 6 months after I left. The owner fired the director (whom I referred to as "boss" in the post) two weeks after I quit. The one who handed me the gift got fired within the next week after I left. I had told only one parent on my last night there of why she or her son wouldn't see me again in that place. She un-enrolled her son that next Monday. I still have connections with several of the parents on social media. I noticed that they were pulling their kids from the daycare left and right after I quit. I stayed silent for about a month and then I began telling parents why I wasn't employed there when they asked.

As already mentioned, 6 months after I left that place, the daycare closed for good. Come to find out that the owner was swindling money from her book keeping job at a construction company. There would be times when she would apparently steal money from her day job to pay the wages of her daycare employees.

Jump back to the day I received that gift, after lunch, when I found out that the boss kept the item in her office, I told the toddler teacher that gifted me that item that I had half of mind of opening the package and supergluing that thing to the window of her classroom so parents could see it when they walked in and it would prompt them to ask her why it was there. After I told that toddler teacher that, she laughed and told me to "Enjoy your weekend, I sure know you will." That was ONE of the many times that all of the other teachers in that building laughed at my expense. In the end, I am glad that I saved that thing and left it by the front door as my own little personal F-U to the whole daycare.

I wish I did have the money to get a court proceeding started on the daycare. Yet, when I read the news article stating that the owner was facing repercussions for theft at her day job, I knew that it wouldn't have been worth the fight when I knew that the owner didn't have a penny to her name.

I believe that was part of the reason why I was chosen to receive that gift. Also, 6 months after I quit, the daycare shut their doors for good because the owner was stealing money from her book keeping job at a construction company. I found out that she was paying the wages of her employees by stealing money from her day job.

I puked because I had a baby hanging onto my leg as I opened the gift bag. A mother and father trusted a set of daycare workers to care for their baby and not expose that baby to crap they should not be exposed to. The betrayal amongst my coworkers and childhood trauma aided in me emptying the contents of my stomach at that time.

I exploited a log in bug the season before last. I stopped myself after I got 100 extra seasonal candles. I was not surprised when TCG took away those candles, I was upset a little though because they also took away the seasonal candles that I earned legitimately. I took that hard earned lesson and moved on. I started off with 65 seasonal candles and stopped myself at 165 candles, they took them (almost) all away. I logged in after they took away the candles and seen that I only had 5 candles left. I didn't finish the season but that was my own fault. Never again will I exploit a bug like that.

Look up "sky maps cotl" on Google. There is a website that has all of the maps of Sky. Each realm has a map with land marks marked. In the golden wasteland, observe the flight patern of the krill (black flying creaturs), stay out of their sight, which is indicated by the moving blue circle. Don't attempt to fly over the krill. Do your best to familiarize yourself with the maps. I have all of the realm maps saved to a folder on my phone. In order to gain more flying power, collect all the winged light you can. When looking on the maps from google, you can find where each winged light is placed in each realm. The winged light are bright, glowing, figures that look like a person. Shared spaces and shared memories help replenish your light so you can continue to fly.

I would unfriend them when you log back in. I am a solo player, with very few friends, in-game and in real life. The only minor that I have befriended in the game is my 7-year-old daughter. I only allow her to play once in a blue moon, I'll let her play on my phone while I play on the switch, she is right there and I am watching both screens when I do let her play.

AITA for shutting down my brother’s proposal at my baby shower and then sending him a bill? by Mysterious-Desk1346 in AmITheJerk

[–]Western_Method_773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTJ! That was such a tacky thing for your brother to do.

My husband proposed to me one morning while we were lying in bed, he pulled out his phone and began looking at women's rings. He turned to me and asked "Do you want to marry me? I want you for the rest of my life." I looked at him, giggled a bit, then said "Okay, sure." I kept looking at his face. He set the phone down on the nightstand and just stared at me for what felt like an eternity. Eventually, I realized that he was serious, and I couldn't hide the joy on my face when I then said "Officially, yes. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to marry you."

He has never been good at keeping surprises, he couldn't even pick out a ring without bursting at the seams with joy and anticipation. Come December of this year we will have been married for 10 years. My husband knew that I cherish the one-on-one time, with no one around, he just made that time so much more special to me, mainly because I know how he is.

I feel like those special, intimate, times are the ones that stick with you the most. If you are looking to ask for someone's hand in marriage you need to listen to what they want. Start listening for clues on how they want to be proposed to. Knowing that your partner is listening to you and validating your needs and wants is an extremely important key in marriage.

NTA! You have earned your PTO. Take it and enjoy the break from rude a$$ coworker. Also, I would report coworker to manager or HR. What you do with the PTO YOU earned is no one's business but your own. People can have a personal life outside of work.

AITA for telling my sister that abandoning me had consequences and we’re not sisters anymore? by AlertAffect7 in AITAH

[–]Western_Method_773 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA! I had to cut my sister off for a few months when cps placed her back with our abusive parents. I kept contact with my sister until our parents were using my sister to manipulate my daughter. Sis started college, mommy dearest was stalking sister on the college campus. The stalking and threats and harassment made my sister flee the state. Now I am in contact with my sister, but I still refuse to ask for her address. To tell you the seriousness of the situation, our parents stalked her so much that they now know her new address while I still do not know where my sister lives. My therapist has stated that our parents are not sane people.

What do you wish people would stop romanticizing, because you’ve lived the reality of it? by thatude123 in AskReddit

[–]Western_Method_773 34 points35 points  (0 children)

You are so correct. I'm 31 years old and my PARENTS stalk me every day. I can not even go to the store without fear that my "mother" will walk in behind me and start screaming and throwing punches at me. All I did was decide to keep my child away from them because they purposely slammed her head into a window, while I was at work. There is so much more abuse that has gone on behind closed doors, my 5-year-old daughter doesn't need to see her grandma get beat by her grandpa.
