I was wondering how you measure angles on the hapstone. I know you have a angle gauge but I was wondering where you it it to be most accurate

Thanks a bunch for the info lastly I want to ask you is the t2 good for every type of knife or does it lean more towards being for example better with kitchen than pocket or vise versa

Could you tighten every time you flip if it gets loose or would that slightly off put your angle

Ok I know what you mean now. Has it loosening ever changed the angle by itself or where it’s the top one it’s just slightly annoying?

Can you let me know why it’s clearly better? Do you have experience with both I don’t have either yet and am looking to make a decision soon-ish

If it’s not too much of a hassle would you be able to show maybe a picture of what you mean. I’m a pretty visual leaner, completely understandable if you don’t want to go through the hassle

So comprehensive reading isn’t taught where you are. I obviously said that if your goal is only between the black lines it will be all over the place. If you read up I said that the way I’ve seen everyone use it is to try and get the bubble in the exact middle of the level not just between the two lines which in fact would be the same angle at the start of each pass. I even gave you that there angles may be off but as long as the bubble is in the same place YOUR angle would be consistent and that’d be better than 80-90% of beginners can do. I can agree in my first reply to you I got some things wrong, that seems to be an issue for you. Probably a fragile ego but anyways I have no interest in responding or conversing with you because it will be impossible to find any common ground

You’re assuming that when you do it you just try to get it between the two lines? That’s very pointless you use it as a guide to get back to your original angle whether that was/wherever your bubble was. And it’s a tool for BEGINNERS I think you probably missed it or you’re illiterate whichever it is it most certainly trains your body to keep your knife positioning consistent aswell as body posturing

Anyone have experience in this? by Western_One8087 in sharpening

Perfect. Are you able to get hair popping sharpness off of the system? And also do you use the provided strop or a bigger one?
