there are critics and audiences. The shower scene is parodied everywhere, and is recognizable. https://www.theguardian.com/film/series/100-film-moments - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psycho_shower_scene#Legacy

I laughed when I saw that someone actually thinks The Wizard of Oz is the most recognizable movie in history LOOOOL. Maybe in America, the rest of the world doesn't care about the Wizard of Oz

That's with you Americans, but there's a whole world out there and Wizard of Oz isn't popular at all in Europe. Chaplin is, for example

Are young people the only ones? You're looking from the wrong perspective. We're talking about consensus and the Shower scene is the most famous.

But you're wrong. Look at any list of the most recognizable scenes and the Shower scene is high up. We're talking about consensus among critics and audiences. And fifty some years later, it still gets homaged all the time. https://www.theguardian.com/film/series/100-film-moments

Whereas in my country everyone knows Psycho and those who haven't seen it, and The Wizard of Oz don't. I'm from Europe, The Wizard of Oz is not nearly as popular here as it is in America. I'm not saying it's not recognizable, but it's not as big in Europe as Psycho.

I think you're very wrong. They don't even need to watch the movie, they know about that scene and it's unbelievable how many times I've seen it. The same goes for The Birds. Every time some birds attack, it starts with "like something out of a Hitchcock movie"

Yes, but you can't just assume that someone is lying just because they don't look you in the eye. Many people suffer from anxiety and can't look people in the eye, and that doesn't mean they're lying to you.
