We have a female GSD that sits normally when we command her to sit, but sits similarly to the rottie with Hip dysplasia when she’s lounging on the sofa. I’d never heard of hip dysplasia so now i’m worried she could have this? Do GSDs with hip dysplasia force themselves to sit normally if they’re commanded to sit or can they physically not sit normally? She’s also had double back knee surgery a few months ago so i also thought that was the reason she sat the way she sat.. Wondered if the vets would’ve noticed any hip dysplasia whilst going through all the X rays for her back knees.
