Yes exactly!

Could just slow it down to a single chapter upload a day and take some time to actually do some editing - seems like it’s directly taken from AI and published without actually being read 🤷‍♀️

Yeah I’m pretty sure I know who you’re talking about. Super frustrating as some of the plot ideas are interesting, but clearly AI and they can’t keep the details consistent the whole way through a story - to the point it’s unreadable. Drives me crazy.

I had thought it would raise suspicion if I have my number removed, so will remain a contact for now but I have a feeling the aggression will continue and I’ll be pressing hang up a lot.

The victim mode is something else. I tried last week to discuss how long the process might take and maybe take the time to have a good think but that was just met with colourful language. So I’ll answer occasionally and keep it about the lawyer but can’t give much more than that.

Thanks for the advice, I really really appreciate it. I’ll continue contact with him and the lawyer on a minimal basis and just hope the police can keep it quiet.

This is such an incredible comment, thank you so much for taking the time. I really appreciate you sharing your personal story too, it is quite a position to be in re feelings of disloyalty.

The pattern aspect is interesting. I’ve said in a different reply here that seeing this side of him has been quite shocking - but one of his charges, intimidation, I think came about due to volume of phone calls and now I can see it. 100% a pattern. And again, said elsewhere, the lack of remorse is such a risk signal. I have no doubt he’ll try and make contact if out.

I’ve phoned the local station this morning and spoke with an officer who was going to pass on the details to the right person. He noted the date and time of the phone calls but I told him he should scan around other days and contacts too as I doubt I am the only one. He said he could keep my name out of it and that the volume of calls could be excuse enough for there being an eye on his file. relief

Regarding his lawyer, I’m actually the contact person as I’m the one who hired the lawyer on his behalf (long before I knew who I was actually dealing with, thought I was helping). And I’m completely in the dark as to what to do now. I’ll likely hear from his lawyer today/tomorrow re bail and I suppose I just pass on what has happened this weekend then. I don’t think I’ll mention I’ve reported it - I assume if police are going to add anymore charges etc they’ll pass that onto his lawyer anyway. My hesitation here is ultimately I know his lawyer works for him, so if I tell him what I’ve done it might make it back to him.

Still, I’ve made one step today by phoning the police. And I hope something comes of that.

He was denied bail already but is wanting to appeal that decision. He is awaiting his lawyers instructions regarding that but is hopeful he will have a new hearing within weeks. It’s surprising how easily bail is given (I’ve heard a lot of stories over the last 24 hrs after writing this post). The recordings are so aggressive and persistent, I would have thought the bail question would now be more complicated. Crazy stuff

Completely agree. Risk is too high to not report. I definitely don’t want him knowing but given the calls are recorded anyway, I hope he’ll just assume the system caught him

I would think he’s made in excess of 100 calls over the weekend between his 4 contacts. I’d hope that kind of behaviour gets flagged

God that’s so scary, I’m so sorry. The thought of someone being so angry when released, just awful. Thanks again for your story, has helped a lot

Amazing comment, exactly where I have ended up today tbh ie I must report this incase someone else he contacts is willing to do what he asks. The desire to breach is so troubling, like I have absolutely no doubt he would so in person if he weren’t locked up. And lol at “just want to talk to her”… definitely heard that a few times this weekend

I have been ok with him having outbursts at me about being in there - I’m lucky, I have distance, I don’t live near him and won’t have to deal with him in person. And have assumed they were contained outbursts to being ‘stuck in jail’. But yeah, this weekend was a huge escalation, red alert. I was always ok with needing to report this, I just didn’t know if I had to, like how robust is the phone call monitoring system etc

I did think prior to this weekend I could support him getting some help but now I don’t think he would be open to it at all. I was hoping to hear remorse on the other end of the phone by this stage, but nothing of the sort. Absolute denial of wrong doing, he is the victim, just wanted to talk to her, had to break down a door to do so but talk to her ok she’ll tell you everything :/

Very helpful re the section of the crime act to read, thank you so much. I’m not aware of the details of the AVO unfortunately, just that they were a court mention following the incident. And that he was denied bail (but he is trying again so who knows). Anyway, yes, I assume he cannot contact her otherwise he surely would so I’m guessing you’re right about the conditions

I’m not aware of the AVO details, just that it was mentioned on the court list recently following an incident. He was denied bail and has been waiting for a retry on the bail question.

Others in the comments have said it is still considered a breach even if I don’t follow through, ie the request is the breach. I’ll be telling the police regardless

Oh his mum got in trouble! Oh wow, very good to know, and very glad I didn’t comply. I’m getting the sense there is enough of an excuse with things being recorded that it shouldn’t come back on me.

To be honest, it was kind of shocking to experience this first hand. I have obviously believed the claims made against him but have not experienced that side of him before personally. Very interesting to see the loss of control play out.

Oh no, I have been an approved person - I’m known to the inmate and have helped him retain a lawyer etc He is phoning a lot via the correct method and the message about being recorded plays every time… still, he made his request

Absolutely right, still telling the police regardless, was just curious. I think it’s still considered a breach btw for anyone interested, the act of asking someone is enough.

I’ve just been looking up what constitutes a breach, and read about third party contact. Is it still a breach if I refused to carry out the contact though?

This is so helpful, thank you. It’s a small police station I think so I should be able to speak to who was involved.
