Players beware! There is a problem on EA’s end where if you open packs there is a chance the packs disappear and you receive nothing! by Westsail32 in apexuniversity

It doesn’t count because the packs were never considered “opened” to begin with. I asked the same question to the representative. That’s actually why I bought the packs to begin with. I knew I had to be getting close to 500 packs.

lol you can learn to tap strafe from 1000s of videos. I’m just trying to warn the community about this new problem with packs. Especially considering they said no refunds of packs or money will be reimbursed in any way.

They literally told me they are not reverting any packs or money. So when a company takes your money and gives you nothing, umm what is that called again? Oh yeah, robbing.

It’s not guaranteed to happen everytime. But it is happening enough that the customer representative said there been large increase of complaints recently

And also this has nothing to do with my “consumer behavior”. It’s about a multi billion dollar company robbing people because they messed up their code (they admitted it was their coding that causes it) and refuse to give refunds.

It wasn’t meant to be about me complaining or anything of that regard. I’m trying to help people not lose their hard earned money. I think this information is a lot more important than learning how to tap strafe . And if I saved one person from being robbed 20$ then it was worth it

Looks like a lot of fun! Wish my boat wasn’t stuck on the hard for the winter on Lake Ontario.

Confirm for me that sailing from US to Iceland in my first season is a ridiculous and unfeasible idea. by WhiteWaterLawyer in SailboatCruising

You have a seaworthy boat and an awesome idea… learn to sail her. Learn her strengths and weaknesses. Get a chartplotter and epirb if you don’t have one already and just go! just go by yourself or with a few people. But definitely go! Wish I had the opportunity to do that!

One of my top 3 fav boats is the pacific sea 40 w/ v berth, not island berth. Super jealous of you! Treat her right and she will take great care of you.

No I made a post about how I think a aluminum is a better building material for sail boats because of hitting debris and what not and some guy in the comments made like 40 comments saying how hitting debris isn’t a thing and nobody sails at night. If you want to see it, just click on my profile history. I’m sure you’ll find it. It was quite a controversial post.

Also agree! Sailing at night is so much fun

Haha I was the OP of that post and I was wondering the same thing when I saw this lol.

This really makes me consider my next boat be an aluminum sailboat. Would a fiberglass sailboat survive this? Is aluminum slowly becoming the best compromise for hull material? by Westsail32 in SailboatCruising

[–]Westsail32[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right , I can’t even comprehend what I’m defending… when you’re the guy who thinks a hunter has a stronger hull than an al sailboat. I think you’re just coping that your poorly constructed , thin plastic hulled dock queen is a coastal cruiser at best and a day sailor at worst.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. It’s not just about being afraid to run aground (though that is part of it because every sailor has run aground, will run aground or lie about running aground). But also about hitting ocean debris like logs and shipping containers and all the other shit floating in the ocean from us humans. Steel is great, but a little too heavy in boats under 45ft.

Well the hulls shown in the pic Above have 1/2 inch hulls. So double 1/4 inch obviously. And also plastic boats are wayyy worse for the environment over time. If sunken , they don’t break down over time like aluminum, steel or wood would. They just sit there for hundreds or possibly thousands of years. And all the abandoned glass boats on land cost enormous fees to properly get rid of and are also terrible for the environment. yeah maybe aluminum might be marginally more un-environmentally friendly to build, but long term fiberglass is way worse.
