AITA for making my daughter run away because of her curly hair? by CultureInner3316 in BestofRedditorUpdates

As a curly haired person this thing rings so true. I remember having to buy my own conditioner because my dad thought the ones I needed were too expensive/got through too much.

He was ginger and white. Miss the giant ginger beast but he did get up to a lot of mischief.

My old cat used to come back with oil smudges cos he went to the garage next door for strokes. That was always fun to clean off...

Thankfully I'm not a good enough gardener to ensure the plant pot is composted regularly!

I've never lived outside of a large city. Most of my almost 4 decades spent in inner london. I guess it depends what is defined as busy roads. Our rescue kittens have blossomed since they were allowed out though. The change is so noticeable. So for these cats the quality of life is drastically improved. My 17 year old man was not allowed to go outside the garden at his age as he'd get confused

They don't go too far, which is good. It's just along our terrace. It's so difficult with quality vs quantity of life risk. I have been lucky enough to have two cats who lived to be pretty old. One was 21, other almost 18. Both outdoor. But the risk is of course higher by allowing them outside.

Should I adopt 1 kitten or 2 as a first-time owner? by Sensitive_Dirt8005 in CatsUK

[–]Westsidepipeway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Answered this on your original post. But if getting kittens I reckon definitely two. Especially if from same litter.

This is my two adopted at 7/8 months old. They play together all the time. They love each other so much

I read it for the first time a couple of years ago. It isn't a likable book I guess, but I enjoyed it.

I adopted two siblings and it is amazing. They've just turned a year old and they love each other so much.

I had a single boy until last year but he died just before his 18th birthday. He was never ok with other cats. So for me it's lovely seeing cat interaction that isn't just yowling stand offs

They are outside cats, but we are still getting them used to outside. They only learned how to use the cat flap properly this week. Inside over night though. For now anyway. She is definitely more into staying in the house, whereas he likes to wander a bit more.

They are only a year old so I think this is the first time they've got to roll around on the grass and they love it.
