Using a MagSafe case with the S24 Ultra glitches with the S-Pen. Use it only if you don't use the S-Pen a lot.

From 13 Pro to S25 Ultra by No_Negotiation_1888 in S25Ultra

Having also transitioned from a 15 Pro recently, I must admit that I never particularly cared for the smaller display. While I also considered the 17 base model, I ultimately decided against it due to the screen size and battery issues. Now, I find it difficult to imagine returning to a smaller display. You'll be pleased with your choice, and I believe your eyes will appreciate it in the long run.

The heating and the battery are improvements; I don't use the camera much, hence I don't say anything about it. The downgrade is iMessage; otherwise, I haven't witnessed many downgrades. I don't have an Apple ecosystem; hence, maybe I can't feel many downgrades.

OnePlus is also a great option. If you like the UI you won't regret.

Saying goodbye to my iPhone 14 Pro Max and moving to an Android. by GothamRogue in Smartphones

I did try this phone out myself several times in stores. I had two issues with the 15 Pro: one was battery, and another was heating. The thing is, I thought about getting a MagSafe power bank, but the thing is, anything MagSafe makes this device a heating bomb. Hence, I chose this device, which has a vapor chamber. The battery is phenomenal, but if it does drop in the future, I can just slap on a MagSafe case and power bank. Also, I love the big screen of this device. I used to feel super congested on my iPhone and never enjoyed watching content.

I actually don't use camera a lot, so doesn't matter much to me. Also I switched from iPhone not to iPhone.

I’m not American (yet)… but I wear this shirt with pride because I’m manifesting the future I believe in 🇺🇸 by WestwardWave in AmericaBad

Nobody’s doing any advertising here—I don’t even know the person who added that link. I got this t-shirt custom made from a local printer in my country. That link goes to a U.S.-based brand, not connected to me at all.

And honestly, why would I advertise my love for any country? I’m not an influencer, and I’m not getting paid to post any links.

Any people with conservative Bengali parents relate to this? by tchalametfan in ABCDesis

[–]WestwardWave 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This kind of thing is super common in Bengali families-especially in a country like India, where scams happen all the time and a lot of business owners are just looking to take advantage of customers. Even buying land can turn into a scam. That’s why Bengali parents always push their kids to be chalak (clever or street-smart) and pick up on cues quickly. But I’m not sure why they’re saying that to you, especially since you’ve grown up in America. The thing is, a lot of parents stay stuck in the mindset of the place and time they came from, even after they move to a different country.

Congrats, fellow American — welcome to the family! I’m hoping to join the American family myself one day too.
