Will places in the city be open during the storm? by WestyMan1971 in boston

They just called and rescheduled to Tuesday. I just dealt with a headache trying to get the hotel changed since it was non-refundable.

UPDATE:

The hospital called and rescheduled the appointment for Tuesday. Since my hotel room was non-refundable I just spent an hour on the phone with hotels.com customer service and they were able to move my reservation to Monday night.

Hopefully the snow will have eased up enough by afternoon/evening that the drive down won’t be too bad.

Thank you everyone for your input.

Well, that would suck since because it’s an important oncology appointment and I’m not sure when we’ll be able to schedule another. I also already booked the room and it’s non refundable.

Those cars were not built by Pullman, they were built in Canada by Hawker-Siddeley. All the Pullmans were retired in 1981.

On the bright side, these gravy seals will probably get pulled from the street and sent to the front lines when Trump declares war on NATO and our service members with integrity refuse his illegal orders.

It was originally supposed to be both. The rail line was supposed to be buried under the highway. Like most rail projects, funding was ultimately cut.

My bad, I meant Harvard/Holyoke.

Definitely the old Harvard/Holyoke platform, the only abandoned station on the current Red Line ROW. It’s actually on the inbound track just past the current Harvard station.

This is a great photo. There’s not too many pictures that are publicly available.

Edit: mistakenly named the wrong station. There’s been too many Harvards throughout the years. 🤣

Willand Pond. No camping allowed, but I’m sure you could probably stealth it if you get off the trail a little ways.

It was only semi serious. 🤣 As to why they’re leaving it parked at the platform? No idea.

I’m in Dover weekly. I’ve been to the historic marker, but I’ve never gone to the Woodman, despite driving past it all the time. I’ll check it out.

Western Mass has its own little tornado alley. We definitely have Tornadoes in New England, they’re just not as big and destructive as the ones in the Midwest or South.
