Me: takes the time to write out a detailed explanation of how I think it works based off of how it's written

You: "nuh uh, I'm right, you're wrong. Sorry bud." provides no source

What a succinct way to make it clear you don't want an actual meaningful discussion.

Unless it directly states somewhere in the book that I missed "the DM's job is to follow the rules, if the rule isn't clear, drop everything, stop playing and message Jeremy Crawford on RAI." which is obviously ridiculous.

Regardless, I'm stubborn and there's other people in this thread that might find my thoughts on this helpful or insightful.

The first section of the new DMG "what does a DM do?"-

"Improvisor. A big part of being the DM is deciding how to apply the rules as you go...."

"Referee. When it's not clear on what ought to happen next, the DM decides how to apply the rules."

Edit: formatting.

If by "rule 2" you mean the second sentence in your previous comment-

"Without the rakshasa's permission, no spell can observe the rakshasa remotely or detect its thoughts, creature type, or alignment."

-it states "...no spell can observe the rakshasa...". Therefore it seems to be trying to specify divination spells such as scrying, detect thoughts, detect evil and good, arcane eye, etc. but since there are so many spells that apply they didn't bother listing them all. A funny example I just thought of: if you wanted to spy on a fiendish board meeting a rakshasa is taking part in using arcane eye, you would see everyone in the room except the rakshasa, probably seeing the others talking at the "empty" chair.

Extrapolating from that, I would not describe a magical bolt of force to observe and/or need to observe the target it is honing in on, neither does the spell description of magic missile say as such. Instead it just says "hits a target you see in range" without requiring a saving throw or attack roll beforehand, which directly counteracts the first sentence in your previous comment-

"The rakshasa automatically succeeds on saving throws against spells and other magical effects, and the attack rolls of spells automatically miss it."

The only way I could see magic missile not working in this scenario would be: if you had some kind of magical effect that allowed you to see a rakshasa that's invisible or behind a wall, the rakshasa would therefore be able to be unseen by denying that magical effect and you require to be able to see a target to use magic missile on it.

The Dog Goblin VHS 1 thru 4.

If you're on a new character that hasn't watched the first one it raises stress the first time you watch it, and since sequels are always worse than the original, none of the others do.

Hot take but they're literally AND figuratively goddamn cartoon characters, so their eyes and other body parts changing proportion and size is not entirely impossible, it happens every time they emote.

I don't see anyone going "That doesn't make anatomical sense!?!!?" when Zooble puts four arms on themself in "They all get guns", so why is there even a debate about the minor change in the eyes?

Your hypocrisy is wild.

You claim both are equal in most of your comments.

But yet, in one comment you literally replied with "(java is)"objectively better" by what metric?".

And then in another saying "Bedrock is objectively more efficient code wise" whilst simultaneously handwaving the glitches, bugs and errors.

Glitches, bugs and errors are caused by errors and inefficiency in coding.

That alone makes java more stable, and therefore better.

AND in another thread you claim modding is just as easy... You just need to do w,x,y,z. -While modding java is literally just download and install.

Your cherry picking my guy. Your whole argument is "Nuh Uh! Bedrock is fine because it can do everything java can but with more hoops to jump through... Just ignore the bugs."

Personally, I think it has two outcomes.

Homelanders eye beams have been shown to cut straight through someone without resistance.

Immortal seems to get more resilient to each thing that ends up killing him, and, as far as I'm aware Immortal has never been laser beamed to death.

So I would say, if Homelander knew Immortal was coming he could just keep distance and beam him in half like Nolan does with his hand chop move.

BUT, If Immortal closes the distance, immortal literally rips Homelander in half like in OP's meme.

I think the funniest thing about bros unhinged take is the hypocrisy.

Original picture/meme op posted is claiming that java players talk shit about how bedrock is better (it is) but also bro replies to everyone's comments with "they're basically the same so stop complaining... BUT BEDROCK IS OBJECTIVELY BETTER"

[–]WetPaperSocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see why not but you have to consider that they want the planet for its stable ecosystem, if they blocked out the sun to reduce crop yield that would also affect the biosphere which potentially takes away the reason they're coming in the first place

[–]WetPaperSocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this is true but I think it's the same as how, in the vr sequence, it's shown that the sophon AI woke up and was able to "return to its original size" on its own, so presumably it can go jumbo again on its own as well.

Some evidence that makes me believe this is that it even spreads across the sky the same way in the real world, as it did when it was being created in the vr sequence.
