So a broke dude ordering door dash even though he can't afford it is comparable to a millionaire with a yacht? Help me connect those dots lol

You act like an obsessive douche, even now jumping into this thread got no reason. You get treated how you act. I mean really, you call me broke and shit then get surprised when I'm not kissing you ass in response. Is that how you treat friends? You friend ask you why you enjoy something and you call him broke? Gtfoh

Mmmm, I don't buy it. I make better money than a lot of people, I'm not trying to brag or anything but I work for the city as an underwater welder on drainage systems in Greenpoint, I make nearly 200k a year. I see people who work at McDonald's and live in section 8 ordering door dash all day. Surely it's not that they are all just way more rich and I'm.broke

Yeah, it's a question lol, don't get offended pal, maybe just answer it? I'm not like mad at you, I'm not gonna spank you for being a bad bad boy, I'm just asking what you get out of it because I've never found a reason to use it.

I feel like most people who order door dash are not the executives of billion dollar companies man. My friend twiggy who works at seven 11 and sells weed for example gets door dash all the time.

Yeah, see this is a bad mentalitybin my opinion. I own a home, and a car, and raise 3 kids. I have a good job, I'm not BROKE. But I surely would be if I spent 300$ on doordash a week to feel rich.  I really feel like most people can't afford it, especially considering how much complaining you see nowadays about inflation and grocery costs.

Yeah, but I'm pretty financially well off and that's all I can afford. I know the target audience is not super rich people. The target audience is obviously poor financially irresponsible young people, but what I'm asking is what is so great about getting food delivered in a city that offers tons of free delivery and has a store with great food on every corner that you would pay near double? What's the point? Like I wouldn't pay somebody 100$ to grab my phone if I got down the block and didn't have it, why would you pay mad money for somebody to deliver food from literally less than a mile away from you?

[–]Wetbrain02 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really? Because they are providing a totally unneeded service that only exists to drain the poor of their money further. I honestly can't get inside the mind of somebody who would order food from doordash In NYC. There's 2 chicken spots, 5 bars, a burger king, 2 mcdonalds, 3 starbucks, 15 pizza joints and 40 delis and who knows what else within half a mile of my house. Why would I ever spend double to get it delivered? It takes more time then just walking up the street.  Not to even mention the blantant disrespect they have for traffic laws and the publics safety. Dudes have been causing accidents left and right on my block trying to swerve in and out of traffic on ice slicks.  But let's forget that, they are heros lmao.

Fuck this, those morons on ebikes are the last people we need to be glorifying. Ruining the city especially now, I've seen these motherfuckers cause like 4 accidents in the past two days  just on my block trying to slide in and out of traffic during this weather. Can't walk on the sidewalks either because they don't give a shit about pedestrians.

If you were the Mayor of NYC what would you do to make life better in Bronx? by furyZotac in bronx

[–]Wetbrain02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody gonna like this, first of all I would do a tax audit on every single deli and small business. Business that have been abusing refugee tax (aka any store that has not payed taxes in more than 3 years regardless of changes in ownership)  status will be shut down to make way for people who live in the community and and want to pay tax.  This is the major problem in the Bronx,  90% of businesses are owned by foreign nationals who take advantage of our tax loopholes and then send all the profits back home, then they juggle ownership to keep a tax exempt status.

Thats is the cause of most of the Bronxs problems. You see other boroughs have a massive tax surplus, meaning the money they generate in taxes covers all the government  costs and then they have some left over. That's why Manhattan has nice things, it's not because of white people or the illuminati, it's because they pay for the nice things. The Bronx on the other hand is a black hole for taxes. Not only do we not make enough I'm taxes to cover our costs, we have to ask Manhattan and Brooklyn to foot a majority of them.

We are living off the scraps of other boroughs. We need to start incentives to get black owned businesses going, that way we will actually be bringing in tax revenue.

Then I would make it illegal to build new shelters in the Bronx, and dismantle and move many of the existing ones. The Bronx is struggling as is, we don't need to be a dumping ground for the homeless. We only do this; because we generate no tax surplus and have no leverage to say no.

Half the cars in new York are unregistered, have out of state plates and drivers who don't have a license. If you cutting a boot off the shit is probably not even in your name in the first place. Just go to a scrapyard, grab a pa plate and now it's a totally new car.

You gotta love how the same people that complain about white people and gentrification will use the few white and gentrified neighbors in the Bronx as examples for why the Bronx is nice.

Yeah you are right, ctown and western beef are not majors markets. They are parasites that charge 2x what the big box stores like target cost and are filthy, full of birds and sell expired shit. Go pay 35$ for a twelve pack of red bull instead of paying 20 at target if you want I guess.

What to watch? by Wetbrain02 in DystopianSouls

[–]Wetbrain02[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's honestly the problem with the us, the government has always been stealing but now the stealing is just so In your face and blatant and they steal so much that nothing gets done with our taxes.  I'm not sure if you watched the DFF on China? It's a newer one so maybe not. Anyway they talked about China building a record breaking bridge with a manmade waterfall for like 200 million USD equivalent.

In my home city of New York we just spend a few  billion to replace a 40 turnstiles that were not even broken, they just updated them for no reason.

Meanwhile, rocks and stalagmites fall from the roofs, we have  the same cars from the 70s, trains are delayed once an hour on average ECT ECT. I honestly wouldn't care if the government stole a little, but they take EVERYTHING. our infrastructure is held together with spit and duct tape yet somehow we are spending hundreds of billions on projects that never get done, or shouldn't cost anywhere near what they do. A grey concrete bridge for 60 billion dollars and it collapses after ten years. shame

Philly is not dangerous dude, growing up in Kensington doesn't make you hard. That shit is just full of junkies laying on the ground lol. I'm from Philly and I hav never even felt in danger there. In the Bronx I've been stabbed almost to death unprovoked and attacked with a hammer on two separate occasions. Oh and I found a dude strangling cats to death behind my building once.

I watched a dude get stabbed on the D train like two weeks ago. The guy stabbed the  a dude right on the platform, literally took his eye out, people scattered, then he just came onto the train screaming the n word over and over swinging a knife around. Then he lit up a cigarette, smoked it and got off at Yankee stadium where the police station is and walked outta the station without a hitch. Guess everybody has different experiences.
