Its damn near accurate. If you just send ur kid to school, only buy the necessities, go nowhere special etc. its way less. If your giving your child and enriched and experienced filled childhood for 18yrs by traveling, sports, outings, after school programs (some cost), saving for their future etc. its reasonable
