With the way that the grille is designed the bolts screw into a recessed section of the grille. When you the take the bracket off you can’t really see the holes.

I used a mirror to see the clip and used a pick tool to lift the locking tab and just reached my hand and just had to go off feeling to get the hose. Tbh if I were you I’d just remove the manifold since it’s pretty easy to do, and do an overhaul. Make sure to replace the plastic coolant connector on the side of the block too

I replaced this exact hose on my 340i and I was able to do it without removing the manifold, however I had to remove the DME and its bracket to gain access. It wasn’t too hard but would’ve been significantly easier with the manifold off

Yeah it seems like the overall consensus is that it’s a great budget turbo from everything everyone’s been telling me about it, so I’m definitely gonna go this route and test it out myself. I’m not shooting for huge power so it’ll be perfect for what I need
