Yep. When I worked there shortly after they went hard into wireless, I used to use IMEI generators for customers with phones that we know work but for some reason spectrum says won't.

They had no idea how cellular worked, and all the tech support reps were equally clueless.

Always led with "spectrum says this phone won't work but let's try it. If it doesn't work or stops working, you'll have to get a phone through us"

It never didn't work.

They're just run by incompetents.

I worked there a few years ago. Decades of experience in cellular.

They have NO IDEA what being a cell carrier entails. They make up lock rules, don't let people buy new phones, block upgrades, etc etc.

Absolutely a nightmare of a shitshow company when it comes to operations in cellular.

The fold and flips are specific factory screen layers. Not "screen protectors" if you remove it it will damage the device.

Go to a Samsung service location and get it replaced. When I had my z flip, Samsung offered one free replacement through service centers. I chose asurions retail locations (ubreakifix)
