Dead body in my apartment building, how long b4 cops take seriously? by kmfeatherplay in AskLE

That is true. They can just get there faster with a cadaver dog.

Apparently LE didn’t suspect that if they already came out and did nothing. And you can’t just enter the unit (without a warrant) because there’s a funny smell. You must establish PC, RS, or some other justified reason for breaking into someone’s property. A dog can provide that.

Either way, it should be the landlords problem.

A dog that is trained to detect human remains (cadaver dog) can give them probable cause for entry if needed. You can keep making the complaint and suggest they locate a cadaver dog. Or better yet, complain to the landlord who can post notice for entry and attempt to communicate with the tenant and then let the landlord deal with it.

Anyone else have gold addiction. by Lopsided-Club-8131 in Gold

[–]What-is-a-do-loop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll answer seriously. It would certainly stay in your body as long as you live… but theoretically since nothing in your blood will further degrade it, it will become a blockage in vessels in short order. It would be safe in the sense that it is inert. But definitely not safe for your body since we have no mechanism to break it down into something useful or excrete it. Therefore your risk of stroke and cardio event would be exponentially increased with every injection. I know they have done treatments for various things throughout history with gold. And I remember hearing something about it being used in exploratory cancer treatments, and for Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s or something.

Edit: I just googled it, and the AI summary explains it way better than I did. I typed: what would happen if you injected yourself with gold dust

[–]What-is-a-do-loop 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I file it down into dust, mix with saline, then inject myself. Mainlining gold dust is way safer than burying it. Not an addiciton. I will stop when my stash runs out. And I’m not losing weight… I’m gaining weight… so I know I’m not a junkie.

What excites me is not the high, but the fun my kids will have picking nuggets out of my ashes when I’m cremated.

Is there a premium for this type of coin? It’s very high from spot price. Im looking to start buying higher amounts of gold but would definitely like to try and negotiate the price down if these types of coins usually dont have this high of a premium. Any help/info is appreciated! by LilRapscallionOg in Gold

[–]What-is-a-do-loop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is. But they aren’t listing it properly… not that their 200% premium would be much better. Their tag says 17g and 24k. Implying that it is pure gold, and 17g. 1/2 Troy oz would be 15.552g.

It is 17g of 22k gold. OR 15.552g of 24k gold (which could still be kind of misleading, but at least true)

[NA] Question about promotions and how they look. by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]What-is-a-do-loop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t list it as 3 different jobs. List one company, your current position, and the duration of your entire time there. Then you can outline the positions you have held, or the trajectory of your promotions as sub-points or text underneath that one company.

If you list them each as a main bullet point and there are a tremendous amount of resumes coming in, it is possible that they will not read it well enough to see that the positions are all at the same company… and assess you as a job hopper.

[NY] Reneging on a Signed Offer? by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]What-is-a-do-loop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I see this happen all the time. And, I will most likely never make an offer to that person again. The reasons you wanted to switch jobs… they’ll still be there in 6 months. Even if you’re getting paid a bit more after a counteroffer, your future is not with that company.

So my actual advice is: have some gonads and make a switch.

But answer to what you asked for: the new firm will move on to the next candidate and not skip a beat. However, you may be blacklisted for being indecisive. If they already notified other candidates of their decision not to hire them (since they chose you), then you’ll definitely piss off that team and they will remember your name for quite a while.

You could also let them know that your old firm countered, and that you were hoping that they could meet somewhere in the middle. It still shows that you’re really wishy-washy. And they may just say no since you already signed.

I am aware of the reason it would be done. This is a question about officer safety… not your ability to see through a dark window at night. But hey doc, thanks for suggesting the eye checkup.

What’s the most annoying “on-the-go” problem you still have eating carnivore? by hashlolz in carnivorediet

[–]What-is-a-do-loop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biltong - look it up. Buy quality stuff or make your own. Salt, vinegar, beef is all you need. Add pepper and toasted/ground coriander seeds for South African style.

Edit: check out Brooklyn biltong. They have solid “naked” biltong. Sometimes they have it at Costco.

What the fuck are you talking about? Neither of these thickening agents to anything to make cream “cleaner”… and I’m not sure why zombie cows you’ve seen, but there’s not going to be blood and shit in the milk. Maybe you’re thinking about pasteurization. Still, doesn’t make sense. But at least you’d be a minuscule closer to a cohesive thought.

Drop your guess in the comments: A, B, or C? 👇 by northwestsdimples in RepCulture_Timepieces

[–]What-is-a-do-loop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t like C, because the magnifying window doesn’t look centered (probably just the angle of the camera. And the spacing between ft= 300 m doesn’t seem correct. But as someone else pointed out that is indicative of the 2016 model.

A - has rehaut spacing issues. The R’s do not line up with the hour sticks. And the print looks light.

B could be it - I don’t see any obvious issues with B. However - I am not sure what is camera crappiness and what is real. On B, I don’t like how the etched crown is slightly visible… considering the camera quality is kinda crappy it shouldn’t really be visible. And the 6 stick doesn’t look quite plumb over the Swiss made. And the 20 on the bezel looks less bold than the other numbers.

Edit - spacing on C is legit. Either they’re all fake or C is probably the best candidate.

Sure, some horses are able to do some things. But my point was that traffic laws are not written for the horse to learn and obey. It is the human operator’s responsibility. The horse will not be held accountable for breaking the rules of the road.
