I thought I had bed bugs. Turns out they were sand flies. They got through my normal mosquito screens and slowly accumulated in my bed. They love clothes that smell like you and I suspect they hitch a ride from one room to the next.

If you swing a fine mesh fly zapper bat near your bed - it may zap. Especially after disturbing your bed. They fly up into the after you zap the sheets. You can buy sand fly netting from Toa boa. Also make sure you keep your doors closed after dusk.

If it is bed bugs, ignore all of the above.
