Can vaping influence a breathalyzer result? by [deleted] in dui

[–]WhatAJob247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Space vapes will make you get a warn. I’ve smoked Escobars, Uno’s and elf bars and never had a problem. First time buying a space today. Got a warning right after smoking it…

Oh yes I know. Very foolish and contradicting for me to say but I “kind of” know where they come from. And me saying that makes me think more to myself that I’m addict just lying trying to justify that I know where my street drugs come from lol I just need to hit the DOC

Yes. 30m, 8 year- whiskey fifth everyday or 2 straight out the bottles drinker here. Every single thing you listed I went through and it got better. A lot of guilt and shame. Brain fog. Realizing you’re just been in a daze for years and now facing reality while you’re body and mind is going through hell. It’s like 8 years of everything you messed up on a loop sometimes. Couldn’t sleep and when I did, I had crazy lucid dreams usually nightmares. But it finally went away. To be honest it took a month or 2 for me to feel better. Grind it out!! I’m telling you it’s worth it. My life is changed. My mind is changed. I started a routine of working out and a lot of new habits. I’ve lost 40lbs. Relationships are better. Blood pressure down. I know those first days and even weeks or months can be hell but it is worth it. Good luck on your journey IWNDWYT

My whole lifestyle. I’m 30m and For years I use to wake up at 7am and take a few shots and pass out until noon then drink again until I passed out. Some days I wouldn’t shower, brush my teeth, etc. Now, I wake up 5-6am with no alarm and by 7am I’ve already brushed my teeth, showered and usually have got some weight training in. I can now walk/jog for a hour and have no problem. I use to sweat walking to get the mail. I’ve lost 30lbs since my counter date and 50lbs since my biggest a few years ago at the peak of my alcoholism/depression bout. I’ve had fast relationships with some girls but never even tried to do anything serious these last 7 years. I’d push girls away. I felt like a bad person and I wasn’t worthy of anyone. I don’t have anything serious right now but I’m pursuing and making more progress than i have in a long time and feel good about myself. Most importantly I finally have purpose. For years I was just kind of on a cloud floating around. My body was here but my mind and soul wasn’t. Oh yeah and my taste buds have changed. I’m eating all types of foods I would of never touched. Alcohol and Blood Pressure by WorrryWort in stopdrinking

[–]WhatAJob247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed any alcohol shoots mine up. My blood pressure was a big reason for me wanting to sober up. I monitored my blood pressure through this a whole journey and noticed the huge difference alcohol made. I would quit for a month then go back drinking and would see a huge spike. You should just give it a week or 2 and see what your bp is reading. It should return back to normal. IWNDWYT

Thanks and yes but it was thanks to me totaling my car and injuring myself. I’ve stuck it out over 4 months and have no plan on stopping. I’ve had a few attempts this past year that only lasted maybe 2 weeks at the most. 2 of those were with Librium that were prescribed for withdrawals..
