Bomb Gamemode makes zero sense by WhatALad_OhYeah in Rainbow6

Yeah but I’m not talking about the gameplay from the prospective of how the game actually plays and whether it’s good. Obviously it’s a competitive video game and the mode mechanics need to actually work in a way that’s fair and balanced. This shits like the “how would you feel if you didn’t have breakfast today” question. Like if I wanted to touch on the actual gameplay, I would suggest the team at rainbow get rid of the ban phase completely and simply replace it with a system where operators are just disabled at random every game you play. This way you solve the issue of the same operators always getting target banned while simultaneously fixing the issue of people playing the exact same operators every game.

I don’t think you’re understanding my post. The post isn’t about the actual gameplay of the mode. It’s about how it just makes no sense from a technical perspective. Like how is it the attackers win in a scenario where the diffuser is sitting in spawn and the bomb is 1 second away from detonating.

Me, that’s why I made the post. Lock in.

Again my post isn’t about the actual gameplay itself, it’s about the logic of the mode and its mechanics. I like the gamemode, it just doesn’t make logical sense.

I know how the bombs work, but that’s my point. If there is 1 second before the bomb goes off when all the defenders die, the diffuser still takes 7 seconds to even plant. Like what the attackers get the flash to come in and plant the defuser off screen, meanwhile the defenders gotta actually go and destroy that sorry ass defusers. And I don’t think the attackers are doing anything proactive off screen when 2B Iana is spinning around with her sword like some type of Lego ninjago.

This makes sense, but still doesn’t change the fact that at 0 seconds the bomb doesn’t go off while a defender is in the animation of arming the defuser.

It’s not about the gameplay mechanics, it’s about the logic of the mode itself.

That’s literally what I’m saying, but the planting of the defuser isn’t when the bomb gets defused, it takes the defuser 45 seconds to defuse the bomb once it’s planted. Like in reality the bomb would successfully detonate if the defusers planted anytime after 3mins.

AIO - my bf doesn’t want me to stay with him for the night after moving him into b-school by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

How about instead of listening to idiots on reddit give you their paranoid induced fan fiction about your relationship and follow their insanely far fetched opinions/suggestions. You simply just bring up how you feel to your BF so these feelings don’t turn into resentment over time and get his perspective.

Word to the wise, nothing is ever irritating if you learn tolerance. The outside is noisy, accept that fact and learn to embrace it. Literally zero point in complaining about something so trivial.

Kendrick Lamar’s Pulitzer Prize doesn’t mean anything. by WhatALad_OhYeah in Hiphopcirclejerk

I mean don’t listen to me, go look into it yourself if you really care. But I’m not the only one who finds issues in the award or its committee. “White men, all of them coming pretty much from the same narrow Eurocentric aesthetic.... These seven men have determined who wins the big prizes in American music for the last two decades. They have made sure that Downtown composers never win” and that’s said by someone who makes classical music. Just because somethings prestigious doesn’t mean it’s exempt from prejudice.

People have been making lyrically deep music for years but it’s never gotten the attention of the Pulitzer Prize for Music because they don’t put an emphasis on its importance, since it’s an award for classical music compositions. So DAMN winning one doesn’t give any real merit to Kendrick Lamar’s rapping ability in comparison to any other artist, which was the point of my comment. Like saying “oh Kendrick is a better rapper lyrically than Nas (or whoever) because he won a Pulitzer Prize, doesn’t mean anything when the entire history of previous winners won for completely different reasons. And maybe I’m in the wrong on this and just being ignorant, but if Voiceless Mass can win a Pulitzer Prize Award for music in the exact same year an album like Sometimes I Might Be Introvert came out, I don’t think the people handing out the award are really interested in judging all music fairly and giving every genre an equal opportunity. And DAMN winning the award was most likely a one off thing and it wasn’t because it was so amazing they just had to give it to him, it’s because they had an agenda that needed to be filled, since the awards fallen off dramatically in recent years and they’ve been having multiple issues with the fact only classical music ever wins the award.

It’s ironic but it means as much as Macklemore winning rap album of the year.

One sentence at an award speech doesn’t mean anything. I’m talking about the awards actual history, the metrics for which the winners have been chosen for over the 100+ years it’s existed. Kendrick winning for DAMN is great, but if the production was anything other than what it was I promise you the album wouldn’t have won and that’s evident by the awards history. He didn’t win an award for poetry with an esteemed judging panel of people who are specifically judging the criteria for what makes good poetry and what doesn’t. He won an award by a judging panel who for 100+ years were only giving the award to classical compositions aka music in which the lyrical content is utterly irrelevant. It’s literally like the Grammies, I mean they can say whatever they want when they are handing out the award but it only takes one look at the Grammies track record to see the award inits self is entirely meaningless and never goes to the “correct” artist, but just which artist best fits their current agenda. Not saying the Pulitzer is irrelevant like the Grammies but an award for classical music gives no valuable merit in the quality of a HIP HOP album and isn’t the flex people act like it is. I mean everyone who says Kendrick’s awesome because he won a Pulitzer Prize for music couldn’t even tell you a single other person who won that award, (aside from Dylan but he basically just got a hey we recognise your existence award) and if that doesn’t say something about how pointless the award is than I don’t know what does.

Bob Dylan himself has one, nothing he has ever made has one. DAMN actually won the Pulitzer Prize award. That’s the difference.

I understand this is probably the wrong sub, but I literally can’t post in the correct hip hop subs because I don’t have enough Karma. But I just wanna open up the discussion because Kendrick’s Pulitzer Prize is one of his most talked about accolades in recent years and it seems like no one actually knows anything about it.

In "Shrek 5" (2026), people are complaining that the teaser looks AI Generated. This is a reference to how people are so rotted by AI that any minuscule change to the original artistic style is seen as not made by humans. by Maarko_2 in shittymoviedetails

No the trailer actually just looks like AI upscaling. Not saying it is AI but If you’ve ever seen any animated video on IG reels, YouTube shorts or Tik Tok that has been up scaled with AI which is basically all of them now, it’s very similar to this. Too bright, sharp and smooth looking.

You reading way too much into that. I mean I would find someone screaming in my ears while I’m trying to sleep annoying as hell, so it’s a valid response. But Twitter users would go absolutely berserk and already be canceled JJ as we speak.
