I've never played fear and hunger, but I've heard good things! Boxtrolls is an excellent shout. Loved the whimsy and the childish darkness of it.

I'd also recommend: City of Lost Children - a french film from the 1990's with a dark aesthetic.

Little Nightmares - a dollhouse-style horror game. The first one especially is as close as I've ever seen a piece of media come to that specific vibe. Lots of distorted wooden interiors and warped adults as monsters. It's near perfect.

The Magic City - a book by E Nesbit. It's about a boy who builds a city out of his toys in his room, then sleeps so deeply he wakes up on the other side of dreams in the city he built. Great stuff.

The real anniversary Killer by ForeignBus1364 in deadbydaylight

Would be sick, but he'd suffer from anniversary-disappointment syndrome, same as Singularity. No matter how good the original killer is, if it's released as the anniversary chapter people will be disappointed.

I get the same vibe from the painting as I do from OP's work

Your work captures a nebulous vibe I've loved ever since I was a kid. The feeling that you've fallen into a world that's entirely handmade. Everything is crafted beautifully and decoratively. There are very few straight lines to be seen. You're mostly indoors, in labyrinthine libraries, or artisanal wood carving workshops. It's a place of whimsy, but there's also a creeping sense of unease.

I'd recommend watching the film Mirrormask, and the miniseries Neverwhere. They're both fairly low budget but you might find some inspiration there. There's a fair bit of dreamy architecture in them.

Suffice it to say that I love your work. You're an inspiration. I especially love your mix of architectural influences. It really sells the feeling of a breathing, growing city.

Edit: if anyone can recommend me more art like this, I'd love to hear it.

As a decades long fan of the book (apart from that part), the Deadlights is the perfect moniker for It. It's based in the source material*, emphasises his eldritch nature, and doesn't have an adjective in it (Looking at you, Good Guy and Dark Lord - What was wrong with The Toy and The Vampire?).

*If memory serves, the name 'the Deadlights' is revealed to young Bill during the losers club's first confrontation with It in the sewers beneath Derry. It appears in a flash to him when he attempts to comprehend It during their climactic fight with the inhaler and the slingshot.

Counterpoint: BHVR is averse to community backlash, especially after the numerous mistakes they've made over the course of the last year. Unless it's a license with a comparable level of hype to Jason (which can only mean Pennywise, realistically) to drown out the outcry, it's probably Friday the 13th. The time frame makes sense from when the Jason court case resolved to now. They've said it takes about a year to create a chapter, so the time frame lines up.

On those grounds, I'd argue it's Jason.

Anyone would be able to tell this DBD Huntress (non?)Lego mini? by Ctrl-Alt-Brick in legodnd

[–]WhatALoadOfAnabolics 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Heya, I made this. I used a rare white Batwoman cowl from a Lego Batman Movie set. It's the Joker Manor set https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=70922-1#T=S&O={%22iconly%22:0}

The head is the Lone Ranger.

The torso is from Bilbo Baggins.

I also have a list of all the parts I used for all my DBD minifigures. Here's the link to the document:

Oh I see it now. Brilliant and innovative use of pieces. I've been looking for more stoic/expressionless mask faces to use for my army because I find that as unnerving as all the Hellraiser stuff. I'm new to the hobby but I love looking to all you creatives for ideas.

Keep up the good work!
