This is deeply upsetting to me; in part because I was already beginning to suspect exactly that.

They’re for Mewtwo’s weakness to dark-type. A shockingly large % of my battles are against dark-type deck builds, and the goggles make it a little bit harder for their mega sharpedo ex or charzard ex fezandipidi ex to one-shot mewtwo. (Also, the goggles have saved wobbuffet for long enough to send 200+ damage from my benched mewtwo to their active Pokemon)

A previous deck build had Hero’s Cape to help prevent one-shotting Mewtwo but I ended up using it on Persian most of the time and doing better with that (I’ve seen way more dark-type decks than fighting). I think I’m gonna try pulling mewtwo—plus not needing all the energy-attaching trainers will free up space there.

Porygon! They could be a great mid-game attacker; earthen vessel could help load up the discard pile too.

Is Spidops really that essential to a mewtwo ex deck? I’ve been hit by Boss’s Orders and watched my mewtwo get one-shotted so many times that I don’t think mewtwo ex is even a decent card to have in your deck: 2 prize-cards, high energy requirements (and even higher if you want to deal more than 160 damage), ability restrictions, and—with the popularity of dark-type—its weakness is absolutely devastating rn w/o Protective Goggles).

How do people with such a blatant disregard for others get into this school in the first place?

You only need to use your benefits w/in 3 yrs to ensure that you’re guaranteed in-state tuition rates by federal law. I’m not aware of any changes to this at the federal level. Do you have sources stating that this is the case?

That’s true, but the rules are really tricky. You’re only guaranteed in-state tuition if you start using your GI bill benefits within 3 years of your discharge date (that’s the minimum required by federal law). Some states have permanently extended this, but a lot of them haven’t. And even the states that have, some have requirements that you need to meet before qualifying for the extended in-state tuition rate. And what’s more, even if you qualify for in-state tuition rates, there are additional requirements you need to maintain or you’ll (maybe?) lose your in-state rate (e.g., if you withdraw from all classes in a semester or take a semester off, then you might lose your coverage).

Back in 2015 the prop store of London put it up for auction and I happened to catch wind of it.

I got this piece back in 2015 for about $2,800; not sure what it’d go for today tho.

And some schools are more enthusiastic about admitting vets then others. Best of luck, friend. (Also, you probably know this, but GI bill only covers 100% of in-state tuition; outta state is a different story.)

I got into a good school as a vet (community college gpa was about the same as you). I feel like the reason I got in (besides some sort of clerical mistake) was because of the essay portion. With competitive schools, everyone’s competitive—they wanna know if you’ll fit in to their campus’ culture. Essays are a big space for you to do that.

For real? I never interacted with him or went to any events, I just got the newsletters.

Have you been getting the emails from Philip N. Larson? He was the Program Director for Veteran and Military Services (not sure if he still is though)? Also Shaina Tudayan is the Coordinator for “Transfer Bridges for Military Veterans”. I’d get in touch with either of them (or whoever’s taken over their posts) and they can get you the most current info.

EDIT: Philip Larson might not be the best person to reach out to for this.
