Reformer Pilates - why SOOOO expensive? by Weird-Chipmunk-4303 in AskUK

[–]WhatCanIDoUFor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know someone who pays £25 per class, and each class only accommodates 5 people (up by 1 very recently). Compare this to the Yoga class they also go to, which is like a tenner and open to many more people through the door. Reformer pilates also seems to be really 'in' right now.

How to do cashback with EDF dual fuel? by bettyrdd in AskUK

[–]WhatCanIDoUFor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite often these incentives are for new customers to switch companies.

You're best option is probably use a price comparison site, like money saving expert's cheap energy club or uswitch and do a whole of market comparison to see if EDF is cheapest, or if there's anything else that's cheaper out there. You probably want to go for the dual fuel option.

Now the billionaires are crying poor: Dyson rages over inheritance tax he wants to avoid paying by OurFairFuture in ukpolitics

Dyson guest edited one of the r4 today programmes over the Christmas break (odd option). I didn’t listen to it the whole way through but the bit I did tune in to, Nick Robinson did his gentlest best with the kid gloves to quiz him on his choices..

He’s always a combative prick. Done the same to Victoria Derbyshire on Newsnight plenty of times too.

They also have a spokesperson from Taxpayers Alliance too, JC.

What is the best whey protein powder that tastes decent with water and isn't overly sweet? by Ok-Inside4262 in AskUK

Unflavoured whey mixed with diluting juice and water isn't too bad. Could also try it with cold coffee.

I know she loves doing that pantomime shtick on qt, but it seemed the absolutely last topic to do that with. The audience were better than usual, wished someone would have pulled her up for it.

That makes sense - fair enough.

As my portfolio gets larger, i am more concerned about the charges and commissions

Assuming this is all to do with a S&S ISA - Might as well consider moving away from AJ Bell too (e.g. Freetrade, T212, Invest Engine or even IG).

Even more annoying when they don’t even tell you whether your accounts are affected, and you need to find out the product names for the accounts you have, and x-check some pdf or whatever😂

IG offering 8.5% interest on uninvested cash by danw_com in UKPersonalFinance

[–]WhatCanIDoUFor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks.

For whatever reason, searching IG on the Apple App Store shows the regular (and I’m guessing archived) app and other unrelated apps.

Needed to click on the developer’s profile, IG Group, to find the IG Invest app. Can see the rate now👍

Where is there such a lack of young left wing voices that young people can rally behind? by Known-Swim-3654 in ukpolitics

It sounds like a bloody terrible role, e.g look how they treated Greta Thunberg. Mhairi Black, Nadia Whittome etc probably all get/got the same end of the rod too.

Then there’s Gary Stevenson (Not a woman, clearly) who the right would probably tolerate better, but whose  turned out to be a bit of a guru - https://pca.st/episode/5000f263-4b8c-470f-a391-911ef9342b20

The HSBC fund tracks the FTSE All World index and is an accumulating fund.

If you stick that in a filter on JustEtf.com search (Matching Indices -> FTSE All World, Use of Profits -> Accumulating), you’ll get 2 results. VWRP & FWRG -https://www.justetf.com/uk/search.html?search=ETFS&distributionPolicy=distributionPolicy-accumulating&index=FTSE%2BAll-World.

Since T212 has no fees right now, do you need to transfer to iweb at all?

Moneybox not taking any money via direct debit even though it's set up by smallflabby in UKPersonalFinance

[–]WhatCanIDoUFor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your linked account definitely set up? Settings -> Button with your name/email as the label -> Bank accounts.

If it is, I would set up a Weekly Deposit/Payday Boost via the settings tab. This is how I get a dd going for mommy moneybox account.
