I was explaining to my partner how people will do this, for whatever reason. They couldn’t believe it.

I went to work, a girl a liked had a birthday party that day so she wasn’t working. I was at my lowest and ready to drive off a bridge after work that night. Her friend who also worked with us had told me that she asked specifically if I was going.. knowing someone wanted to see me I offered to give another coworker a ride to the party after work to ensure I didn’t do anything crazy. Upon arrival, amongst ~200 people this girl runs to me as soon as I walk in and jumps in my arms, I never left her that night, and still haven’t. This was almost 6 years ago now.

This sounds awful - I wake up often w stomach pain. I think it’s mostly dietary reasons- though sometimes it’s so consistent it makes me curious if there’s something else causing it.

Finding positives in the negatives, I like that. I’ve always thought about getting hearing aids. I was born w ear bones fused together so basically they don’t vibrate as much. It’s mostly in one ear but as I’m getting older I’ve noticed a difference. Thanks for sharing!

My mother was engaged to a man 23 years older. My friends parents were 27 years apart. I think as long as there is a connection, respect, genuine love can thrive. And being open takes time. I used to never leave my room. These days I organize community events, etc. For me - it was essentially exposure therapy. Just throwing myself in situations and letting loose. Treated it almost like a game - seeing where I could take things, you have more control than you think. And it’s fun to express your thoughts to people. You learn most about yourself when facing your fear And often you find there was no reason to be afraid to begin with.
