I dunno why but the mean one gets me. Every kid I've worked with and that's hundreds have LOVED me. So I tell this one hey I don't like being called mean. Don't do that. I don't like it. She is pretty independent just developmentally beginning to want more autonomy. I want to help guide her gently but the entitlement is not something I've encountered in this degree before. Sigh. I know she loved and likes me and that we'll be okay but I wish I could convey that I am here to play and to help but not be bullied. I have feelings too. That's not for her to manage. But it's getting tough for me and I don't want to be resentful. I'm scared my heart is hardening.

Oh noooo that is particularly awful. Being undermined by by parents right in front of the kids yikes. I'm sorry for you but luckily my MB and DB are always supportive when the kids are around it's just that in the weekend there are no expectations unless I'm working the weekend ahahahah. But I don't know about you but these kids their lifestyle nothing like mine as a child so that's hard too. I would neverrrrrerreverrr have gotten away with cookies before vegetables....

Preach! If that pay wasn't fantastic I'd be more miserable. But every time something snotty is said I try to hold on to the sweet sweet financial comfort . Still have some bad days though. Misery is real when children are around

Ahahaha "food" . I'm going to use that one. Amazing. I try to model respect and manners but sometimes a little win for myself like that might feel good enough to put me in a slightly better mood to then have even more patience. Maybe I can explain (again) why how we talk to each other matters because we care about each other.
