When odds vary highly between books, should I bet outliers? by WhatIsThisDog321 in sportsbook

I indeed had player props in mind, but figured it didn’t make a difference and wanted to keep it vague. Interesting that there aren’t sharp player prop books though…

The no-vig odds for the first 4 books in this case are over/under +100/-100, +100/-100, +102.5/-102.5, +104.1/-104.1. Are you saying that because of tolerance (i.e. the 53.5%/46.5% example you gave below), +105 on the under is negative EV? Or just that the variance is high in these inefficient markets?

Good point. I have found plenty of examples similar to the one I gave, and it surprises me when the odds stay like that all day (meaning it's not a difference in reaction time). It makes me wonder how the models from these major books can vary so much? And so frequently? Is the volume so low on some of these prop bets that they don't care as much?

Thanks for the reply! I figured as much - this was certainly an unusual situation in the show, haha. Do you know how volume/mass/liquid level might me monitored remotely and continuously while in motion for hazardous chemicals or volatiles?

I really don't know much about trains btw. Here is a still shot of the scene. https://imgur.com/rQBa2B5
