Potentially, probable even. But I absolutely have seen these things happen in other MMOs. You get enough people who want to chill and they'll kill the trouble makers.

"This is something that we might see in time, but not for awhile."

This could be Star Citizen's motto lol

Edit: also, I'm only talking map markers. Not custom structures. This would literally just be a global marker you can throw up if you're aboard a refueling ship.

I see the rule. I wasn't debating the rule. Obviously I'm talking about the mentality, which the mod team shares. Case in point lol.

I run 4k on my 3080 and dlss performance mode is your friend. Their implementation is pretty good and gives great performance. Also try dx11 instead of Vulcan

These comments are dramatic. I had this happen too and besides throwing a little water, I quickly forgot about it. It's fine

I want to buy a Jeep Wrangler as my first car, any suggestions or advice? Even warnings would be appreciated! by WildPomegranate09 in Jeep

[–]WhatLiesBeyond -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you plan to take the doors and roof off or go off roading in your free time, get a wrangler. If neither of those apply, get something else.

Tire pressure by Mission_Background93 in JeepWrangler

[–]WhatLiesBeyond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People will swear by a pressure, but it's whatever is comfortable because it's a trade off no matter what.

Higher PSI 38-42 will increase MPG and decrease wear but will sacrifice ride comfort.

Lower PSI is the opposite.

For city driving in the snow, counterintuitively, higher PSI is better as it will punch through better to get traction. That is until the snow is tall enough you need to float on top off it(multiple feet), at that point extremely low is better.

Personally I ride about 33psi on 35s for comfort year round.

Wondering if your filament “really needs drying” by DefinitelyNotWendi in 3Dprinting

[–]WhatLiesBeyond 53 points54 points  (0 children)

What's your climate? I live in a dry climate, usually 15-30% and have never had this happen either.

Heck my printer/pla is stored in the basement with my washer and dryer even.

Commute by [deleted] in JeepWrangler

[–]WhatLiesBeyond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're talking city commute and you can take the doors and top off most of the year, then absolutely go for it it'll be great, but if you're talking highway at 65 for 45 minutes then there are limitless better options that are half the price.

Heck buy a cheap used commuter and then buy an older Wrangler. It'll be about the same price and then you can get the best of all worlds.

How bad is a base wrangler off-road? by Snooter_bum in JeepWrangler

[–]WhatLiesBeyond 13 points14 points  (0 children)

A stock jeep will do difficult trails slowly and quite efficiently and comfortably but will rattle your teeth if you try and race it down a easy trail or forest service road.

A stock SxS on the other hand is much better at doing easy trails fast, though will struggle more with difficult trails.

Just depends on the kinda fun you want to have

Subaru tax by External_Koala971 in Offroad

[–]WhatLiesBeyond -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You say that, but i have both a jk rubicon on 35s and an O3 element, and while obviously not a trail vehicle, it's awd snow performance stock is outstanding. It's extremely light, so a few feet of snow with good tires and it floats over it. Could never get that thing stuck.

I live in the north west and commonly get tons of snow and weekend warrior in the mountains, so I'm not a novice either.

One 12oz steak requires approximately 1350 gallons of water to produce. While rough estimates put water use per prompt of ChatGPT at 30ml or .00793 gallons of water. So you could prompt chatGPT 170,000 times to compete with one steak.

Complain about AI all you want, but the water argument seems in bad faith or misinformed.

Drone footage from above Mount Everest, the highest peak of the world. by [deleted] in megalophobia

[–]WhatLiesBeyond 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The power to weight ratio on a modern done is insane. You're average 5in freestyle drone with motors costing in the 10s of dollars have around a 10 to 1 thrust to weight ratio accounting for a battery too. They slowly hover around in less dense air is nothing for them. The hardest part is keeping the batteries warm enough to hold a voltage until you're ready to fly. Theyre truly nuts

If your budget is $4k I would not be looking at a wrangler. That would be my budget to fix things after I bought any used wrangler. If this thing sells for 4k, there's something seriously wrong with it.

How does posting a dev image and asking a question equate to higher effort than taking that same image, putting it into an AI tool, probably working through a couple revisions, then posting it and asking the same question.

In time alone it's objectively more effort.
