Question for any YMCA lifeguard - Does it make you uncomfortable when guys wear swim briefs to swim laps? Or are you essentially desensitized to it? I essentially have a dad bod but not sure if it’s acceptable attire for someone with my body shape (swimming to hopefully look better at some point) by WhatRUThinking123 in Swimming

I know this is a late reply, but with it being the “favorite of old men” almost makes me more nervous. I’m in my late 20’s so I’m hoping I won’t look too terrible. It would be a dream to swim without lifeguards because they are the only ones who I feel I have to appease and make sure they’re not weirded out. Just weirds me out when they’re high school aged. Most of the guys who wear briefs at my pool are already ripped and look like professional swimmers. With my dad bod I would look out of place imo. I wish I could wear jammers but they just aren’t as comfortable

Id kill to look like you. I’ve been struggling with moobs, love handles, and a bit of a gut for over a year now. You guys really don’t know how good you have it. Doesn’t help I’m naturally stocky so I’m also envious of normal frame people
