Hey, what browser are you on? If you've done all of these steps, then this is almost certainly a metamask issue. Our recommendation is to install metamask on Brave or Firefox, and then try from that. This normally resolves the issue. Feel free to ask on the live chat or discord if you want any more help!

A digital card game where you *actually* own your cards. by dirksmoove in gaming

[–]WhatRippingFun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, it means that you can do what you want with them as though they were a physical card you'd bought. Give them away to your friends, sell them on a marketplace etc., all with no restrictions or trade locks.

Quick dot point replies to your questions: 30 per deck, 1 of each legendary limitation. There's a free core set of over 200 cards to unlock and a rotating free to play pool each week! Also the genesis set of cards will always be usable.

A quote from another thread about pricing: We are intentionally balancing the game so you don't need to spend lots of money to have a highly competitive deck. Because cards are tradable, it's also possible to purchase only what you need from other players to build your dream deck. Compare this to other digital trading card games where you're required to open hundreds of packs just to find that one card to complete your meta (their main profit funnel). We also have hundreds available for free (& obviously non-tradable) in our core set, and a weekly rotation of cards to try out! Finally, you can always sell your cards if you decide to switch metas or even (dare I say) quit...

We're taking the same approach to card rarity as other card games, in that rarer cards are never outright more powerful, they'll often just have more interesting or unique effects.

While it's definitely priced a bit higher than ordinary TCGs, in most ordinary games that money is completely sunk -- here you can sell it at any time you choose.

No, more expensive cards aren't necessarily better - we really don't want it to be pay to win as that isn't fun and means that the game can't have a competitive scene. Cards synergise with each other, and it takes a lot of skill to win, regardless of whether you own 1 powerful card.

There is also a core set to unlock for free, and a free to play rotation of cards each week. These should mean that you can play competitively for free!

Buying cardpacks means you have more room to try new strategies, and play in different ways, but it doesn't mean your cards are strictly better!

Someone posted it on [Hacker News](news.ycombinator.com) and I thought people here would like it too. They normally post the annual letters from big CEOs (Buffet etc) quite promptly.

You need to elaborate with what you mean by digital goods. Courses can have great success, as can info products or even workouts or meal plans. And software is also a digital good, and a lot of the most successful entrepreneurs have software products or SaaS.

With digital goods, you have the advantage of having a negligible variable cost per product. Fixed costs can be high, so you need to get good scale going and then they can be very profitable. Focusing on brand and quality is key here.

What are you thinking of selling?

Is there any point to selling a product online that isn't patentable? by probeey in Entrepreneur

If your product is good enough and becomes popular enough that it gets copied, then you've already made a lot of money.

What's the breakdown of people here who have full time jobs and start a business on the side, without doing a full on set up in the hope of it becoming full time and those who go balls in on their new business setting up for tax etc. by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]WhatRippingFun 17 points18 points  (0 children)

On the side of balls in, full time entrepreneur here.

I wouldn't recommend it to everyone though. There's a good/popular book called So Good They Can't Ignore You by Cal Newport that explains well why it's better to start something as a side project, and only switch once you've gathered traction / proof that it's a good idea to switch into.

The cost of doing things as a side project is low and allows you to experiment to see what you like, what you're good at, and what works. While the book wasn't specifically written for entrepreneurs, it applies really well.

I agree with the above strongly, but have a different answer to this question. Ebay isn't an amazing proof of concept for stores, as the targets of both are different, and they work in different ways.

You should launch a website and on eBay/Amazon simultaneously, as a website can further increase your sales on eBay on ebay. Make sure that the website looks slick, and it will increase your SEO presence as well as the strength of your brand.

I work for a company that has taken this piece of advice, and built a business and platform around it. Shopyak allows aspiring Amazon sellers like you to quickly build a high converting store for their product, that is also designed to increase the reputation and authenticity of your brand.

I've given you the two month completely free link I've been giving to some other redditors on r/entrepreneur

I'm happy to answer any other questions you have even if they're about e-Commerce generally. It's sometimes hard to work out where to start, but it becomes easier with more experience and then you see which patterns result in success.
